My regular house clothes I wash daily but my jeans I go out only hour or two at a time.  When I worked I washed them after one wear.  When I was a home health aide it was usually after every shift and I worked 2-4 shifts a day.  My Mom was not happy about that as I was doing a load or 2 a day.

:lol3: I saw that on yahoo news today !!! I can't even imagine never washing my jeans. GROSS and STINKY. I can't imagine!! :lol2: I have jeans that are SOOOO old - years and years - and I wash them after I wear them about three times depending on what I was doing while wearing them. Sometimes it may be after only one wearing. My jeans are still in great shape, two of which are Levis. I wash them in cold water with a mild detergent.

I must be an oddball neat freak because I wear things only once then it goes into the hamper.  Sometimes I feel like the laundry queen because I was so often but it's gotten to be habit.
I do the same.i wash after one wear . My husband gets on to me because I wash his house shorts after ony wearing them a few hours lol.i just can't help it I wash my bras after one wear also

This reminds me of the survey that found most women wash their bras only once every six months.

I don't remember how often I washed my jeans when I was younger and slimmer.
I don't wersr ghrm now. I don't think overweight people should wear jeans. They make them look large and unattractive. But that's me.

I usually wear my jeans twice before washing, unless I have been working in the garden, at the doctor's office or hospital, or have spilled something on them.  Then it's straight to the wash.  I'm surprised that someone affiliated with a jeans company would make such a suggestion.  And he is affiliated with a jeans company, right?  It looks like the more we wash and the more we have a need to buy new jeans = a good thing for the jean industry.

I take it back.  I was remembering the study wrong.  But not THAT wrong.  http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/98065/Women-only-wash-their-bras-six-times-a-year
Eh. . .it says this:
"The revolting figures means the average woman wears her bra seven times - equating to roughly two months - before discarding them in the laundry basket."

Which is really only a week. Hardly "revolting". How often does EACH bra get washed? Who cares. What really matters is how often a clean one is worn. 7 wearings is no big deal. I'm not sure how they came up with 7 wearings = 2 months because I'm pretty sure most women wear a bra every day :lol3:.

Seriously??? I wash mine after wearing it once.  Most things I wash after wearing once, including jeans.  The pair I wear when we go out in the evenings and weekends I'll let them go a week or so, but I don't wear them all day.  I should mention, I wear jeans to work every day, around the house I wear jogging pants and don't wash those all that often I have to admit, unless I'm doing something that gets me sweaty.

Yeah, wear a bra every day, but not the same one, so that's probably where they come up with the 7 wearings being 2 months.

I wash my jeans a lot...however, a few months ago i started researching the whole "denim head" movement and its common practice to not wash your jeans in order to create fades and creases unique to you only. I actually spent weeks reading up on this and still get newsletters daily. I bought some cheap Levis to try it myself but I just can't bring myself to not wash them! project failed! look up RAWR DENIM if you're curious. There's other sites too but thats where I first read about this. Check out the FADE FRIDAYS section with before and after pics

Bras.. daily. Absolutely!

Most other things I probably wash way too much, but I do live in a hot climate.

However jeans seem to go into a whole other wash zone for me.. I'll wear them up to 4 times before they get it.

The same as my pajamas, 2-3 times and towels.  I have two small children, a 4 year old and a 7 month old, so I have PLENTY of their laundry to do without adding my things that arent actually dirty.  Even with how I do laundry, I still do 1-2 loads of laundry a day.

I typically wear sweats around the house, only jeans if I go somewhere. Depending where I go, or how long I am in them determines when I wash them. For example down here in GA we have a gambling boat called the Emerald Princess. My family and I go on this boat for some fun maybe once a month or so. I 100% wash the jeans after that night out because well... a lot of people, a lot of germs and ew. Because really, who knows what everyone's touched or who has accidentally sat in what, etc. However, if I am only throwing them on to run to the store to get groceries I will wear them again before tossing them in the wash.

...with the cats...
the only clothing item i own that is made of jeans material (denim) is one pair of shorts. i don't wear them often, but when i do i'm wearing them to do outdoors work like gardening. so, when i take them off that evening they go straight into the washing machine and will be washed when i have a full washer load.
