Did you change straight from adult food to kitten food ?

All food changes should be done gradually over the period of at least a week.

You will need to put her back on adult food now and wait till the diarrhoea clears up completely.

Then you can start to very slowly gradually change over to kitten food.
Start by giving her 90% adult food mixed with 10% kitten food then slowly increase the amount of kitten food over the days. :D

If it's WET kitten food, you could add a little canned PURE pumpkin (not pie filling !) to it.....I'd start with 1/4 teaspoonful mixed into her next feeding, then adjust from there. Here's some reading about that: http://www.felineconstipation.org/prevention.html#FiberorPrebiotics    -scroll down about an inch to "Dietary Fiber"

If it's dry kitten food (my best advice would be to ditch it and get some wet kitten), and, if she'll eat wet foods, mix the pumpkin as above into whichever wet she will take, and continue with that until the diarrhea stops. At the same time, do the gradual changeover suggested by GemsGem.

I really think you should wait until the diarrhoea clears up first. Mom cat having diarrhoea is much worse for the kittens than mom cat not eating kitten food just yet.

Having diarrhoea means her body is not taking in the nutrients from the food. It's basically just passing straight though her.

I'm not so sure about that........I am sure it will mean that she is dehydrating, however.......and, that's bound to affect her lactation.

Can't they be fed separately? Or you watch as they eat to make sure ones not eating the other's food?

Oh I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood. You're feeding the mother kitten food to help her give as much nutrients to the kittens as possible?
