He will be two weeks old on Saturday. His eyes just started looking swollen yesterday. Could this be his breed?( he is mix his daddy is all orange tabby). Or a form of Down syndrome?he hasn't opened his eyes yet. All his sibling passed away at birth(I think they were born a few days early).

Other than the look of his eyes he is eating well and crawling around.

I just had one like that for the first time myself. It's conjunctivitis. You most likely need the vet to soak and pry the eyes open a tiny bit to be able to get antibiotic drops in there. The bulging is a build up of fluid and if not release can damage the eyes. How old is the kitten?

I agree with SuperPooper.   Something alike that yes, that is the big danger.  So you must contact your vet quickly.

- It is perhaps something lesser bad, but let the vet decide. You dont affort to wait.

Good luck!

It will be easy to get his eyes open if they're close to opening on their own, but you still need prescription drops.

I got him antibiotic and got his eyes to normal size by squeezing the fluid out.today he has been doing great. Praying he clears up for good! Thanks for the help:)

Continue to give this antibiotic for awhile longer, dont stop just because its better now.   the risk for returning if you quit too early is very big.  And the next time those bacterias who returns are descendants of the survivors, so they will be more resistent against this antibiotic you used.

Use the whole prescribed period, dont quit earlier.
