This is Sunny Kitty Coon. She is only about two weeks old or so. She was born on the street and the mother abandoned her. We waited a few days to see if the mother would come back but she never did, so we took her in and have been caring for her. While in our care her eyes opened and she seems to be growing well, loving to drink her formula and cuddle into peoples' hands. She seems pretty healthy although she might have a slight anal protrusion. We have noticed these odd growths by her whiskers, as shown above, and they are kinda stiff. there are two on either side and they are the same on both sides. this is the left and her right side is mirrored. Any idea what this could be? Please help Sunny.

I dunno (!), but if they are mirroed on both sides, it shouldnt be something nasty

I hope someone else will have good ideas.

You must have done a terrific job.  taking care of orphans is never easy for a new be.  And one who must have been emaciated and very weak - great job, even if the kitten made of tough wood.

Good luck!

We always take in animals in need. my mom has a licence for wild and exotic animal rehabilitation and such, so we're always taking in the sick and homeless. XD when we got her, it was freezing outside and she didnt move, we thought she was dead. Mom rubbed her body friskily to warm her body, then fed her. sunny was near death, but now shes very lively. the growths are getting a little bigger tho and have white tips (in case u cant see on the pic). not sure what these are. =/

Try seeking a vets opinion as they do seem rather odd not something I have seen or heard of anyway but if they dont seem to be harming or causing her any pain it could be something akin to a child being born with a mole though that would not explain why it is mirrored on the other side I think a vets advise would be the best way forward
