Hello, hello!

Yesterday, I discovered a red bump on my kitty's cheeks really close to her whiskers. The only reason I noticed is because there's a tiny bald patch surrounding the bump from where she's been itching. The bump is about the size of the head of a pin and the only problems I've seen so far is that it's itchy. When I touch it, it doesn't feel lumpy nor does it pain her. I thought it might have been an ingrown whisker at first since it's so close to her whiskers, but I'm not entirely sure. I tried looking up what they look like on cats, but didn't yield many results.

I've been keeping an eye on her and trying to stop her when she tries to itch it (I don't want her to break open the skin and risk infection, of course!). It was swollen yesterday, but the swelling has reduced today when I checked.

Any idea what it might be? I figure that, if it's still here by Friday, I'll see if I can get an appointment with my vet, but I don't wanna be too hasty just in case.

Unfortunately, she does have fleas, we've been having trouble trying to get rid of them once and for all, but she doesn't have especially sensitive skin nor is she allergic to fleas. Would the bump have anything to do with the fleas?? If you need a picture, I can try to get one, but that might be a challenge since she doesn't like me touching so close to her whiskers (understandable).

Hi @Gimli

A picture would help but only a vet can diagnose her.  Is she an indoor/outdoor cat?  What have you been doing for her fleas?

Thanks
