This is my 17 year old girl Keyb. She's not any particular breed I don't think. I've had her since she was only 5 weeks old. She is Polydactyl both front and back. She has 6 toes on each back foot and use to have 12 toes on her right front & 8 toes on the left front. She now has 7 on the front right & 6 on the other 3 feet. Anyways. I was just wondering what color you'd say she is. I've always just said grey.

Thanks.

Wow what a beautiful cat. :D

Could you post another picture please ?

I can't tell from those pictures if she is a blue tabby or in fact a blue tortie. Need another picture to compare ;)

Oh she's such a cutie :D

I can tell you that she is in fact a beautiful blue torbie also known as a dilute torbie.

Her colours are blue and cream which are the dilute colours of black and red.

Now a black and red cat is known as a tortoiseshell - tortie for short.

Your girl is the dilute version of a tortie with her blue and cream colours.
This is called a blue tortie or dilute tortie.

BUT your girl also has a tabby pattern as well. This means she is a tortie and a tabby - this is called a TORBIE - mix of the two words.

So your girls colour and pattern can be called blue torbie or dilute torbie ;)

Thank you!! I've always wondered. I mean she's basically a "mutt". She's the only one in the liter that came out like her. All the others were solid black (mom was all black too, dad is a mystery). She also was the only one that was polydactyl. She actually had 2 full paws on her right front. I read that sometimes the 2nd paw is a mirror image of the 1st one. She had surgery when she was around 4 years old and they just removed some if the extra paw from her right side. It became "dead" and it just hung. She started to limp. She's a very special girl. I love her so very much.

Oh wow how unusual with the feet ;) Glad she's ok now.

If the mom cat was an all black cat this means the father must have been a red tabby or the dilute of this a cream tabby

To produce a tortie kitten one of the parents must be red. It wasn't the mother so father must have been red. Also your girl has a tabby pattern - tabby pattern is a dominant pattern cannot be carried. One of the parents must have a tabby pattern to produce tabby kitten.

So father must have been a red tabby or a cream tabby
