I just got one of the Hamilton Beach coffeemakers that uses K-cups and is cheaper than the Keurig makers.  It also uses regular ground coffee without using one of those adapter cups.  I haven't tried it yet.  It's the one that's just the single serve maker, they also have one that is both single serve and makes a pot.  The coffee maker and a box with 36 k-cups in 9 different varieties came to $73.  It's much cheaper than any of the prices I have seen on the Keurig.

We just got a Kureg at work, and I'm loving it. I bought my own reusable K-Kup so I can use my own product and not contribute to trash in the landfill.

At home I have a regular Mr. Coffee coffeemaker that I don't use because I'm not much of a coffee drinker. When I do drink coffee at home it's instant decaf, but I prefer to have tea at home.  At work I drink decaf or an herbal tea.

I have a Tassimo, I love it. I wish there was more variety, but for the most part I just buy the same coffee all the time anyways. I got it a couple of years ago when they were still expensive. It was on sale for $99 from $250.

I have a Cusinart two travel cup coffee maker at work. nothing's better than smelling fresh Folgers at work!

Home, I had a large Elite Keurig (with the water resivior on the side), but it stopped working properly. exchanged it, same issues and finally returned it. the coffee was weak, never filled the cup properly and never hot enough. Then I got a smaller Keurig that you pour the amount of water you want in to use as a gift, and it worked MUCH better! I l No more half-cups and you can measure the water you want.

I also got the reusable cups to use as well. I mostly use my Keurig on weekends and my Cusinart during the week at work.

I had a cup of the Green Mountain Nantucket blend and it was good.  I thought it might be weak or have an instant coffee taste but it was good, like fresh brewed coffee.

I have had a Keurig for 7 or 8 years now, not the same one, replaced it a couple of times.  I just love it, always a fresh cup of coffee each time.  I had no idea Hamilton Beach made a coffee maker that uses k-cups.

I think they just came out with one, at least it's been recently that they started advertising it.  The supermarket that I go to which is turning into one those all in one stores had them for $47.  I know I will probably use it more with ground coffee because it's cheaper than the K-cups.  I had a Hawaiian blend one today and it was really good also.  I do like the box with nine different kinds in it.

I love my Keurig! We're closing in on six years now, I think. We have one for work, too. I enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, but because it's just me drinking on weekends, I won't bother making any coffee. With the Keurig, I can make my cup of coffee on Saturday and Sunday mornings and Rick now enjoys his iced coffee, too. I never tried other brands, so I can't say anything about them. I'm happy with my Keurig and my k-cups. My favorite is Barista Colombia, which is a medium dark roast.

Judy, k-cups are the individual pods of coffee that you stick into the Keurig machine. One k-cup will make one full (12-ounce) mug of coffee. K-cups come in all flavors of coffees, teas, hot chocolates, apple ciders, you name it. They can be a bit expensive, I guess, but since it only makes one cup of coffee, there's no coffee to discard. You do have to throw the k-cup away, but I don't worry about it.I use the coffee grounds in our compost pile. We have a store in town that sells 125 different k-cups (from light to really bold), so finding one to satisfy me is not difficult.

So far my favorite is the Green Mountain but there are others in the variety box that I haven't tried.  I used it with regular coffee grounds and that worked well too.  Taste the same but I only brewed one cup rather than a whole pot.  I have tried brewing just part of a pot before and I could never get that right which met I ended up throwing out a lot of coffee.

That was always my problem, too. Plus I don't make a good pot of coffee at all period. The best coffee I've ever had in my life was when my father would make the coffee. It was just wonderful. I could take a sip of freshly brewed coffee, look at Mom, and say, "Dad made this coffee, didn't he?" She'd always look at me and sigh. But he just made better coffee than anybody.

I like Green Mountain Nantucket, too, and I drank that for quite a while. I was also a big Timothy's Italian Roast fan, but Green Mountain took Timothy's over and discontinued Italian Roast, much to my dismay. Green Mountain said that their Lake & Lodge coffee tasted like Timothy's Italian Blend and that's why they discontinued the Timothy's. The Lake & Lodge is nothing like Timothy's, though. For a while, I went from coffee to coffee, trying to find a new favorite. And then I found Barista....I really like it.

There's a Hawaiian blend that I love, too.....from Tulleys. If you can find Brown and Gold anywhere, try their 100% Peruvian...it's good. So is their 100% Ethiopian, although it's a darker roast.

Rick loves the Coffee People's Sweet & Creamy Iced Coffee. That's his favorite right now.

The individual coffee pots are the greatest appliances on earth!
