This is Luna. I just got her today. I was told from the lady that I got her from that she was being fed twice a day. I feel that is not enough for a kitten of eight weeks. She is pretty tiny. She isn't underweight but I feel like perhaps only 2 times isn't enough. Anyway, she said that the kitten was being fed wet cat food in the morning and dry food in the evening. So far, I haven't had much luck in getting her to eat hard kibble. I had to wet it a bit to get her to eat it at all.

Comments? I do not want to underfeed her.

Kittens - feed as much as they want! I think that 2 times isn't enough. A high quality kitten food is recommended, they are calorie dense. She is a real cutie!

I'll tell you what I did when my guy was a kitten. I fed him wet food twice a day (Wellness Kitten) and free fed dry. That's what worked. Whatever works for you. Make sure fresh water is always available and enjoy Luna (love the name, too).

Twice a day for a kitten doesn't seem like a lot to me, either. I would go with @NBrazil's suggestion of 2x wet food daily with dry out, or get an automatic feeder and feed wet 3x daily. Wet is better than dry because it hydrates your kitty and is lower in carbs.

Agree with the others. Canned food *at least* twice a day and free feed dry.
If you want to feed only canned, she will need 4-5 meals a day for the next month or two. Then you can cut back to 3 meals a day.
