I previously wrote about my girl Indie and mentioned she has an ongoing issue with diarrhea. She went to the vet on Tuesday and was given a steroid shot, an antibiotic shot and I was also given a probiotic paste to give her for five days. The vet also recommend feeding her on Royal Canin Sensitivity/Recovery (chicken and rice).

On Wednesday, she had a mostly solid stool but still a little runny. Yesterday and today they are runny again.

She is eating and drinking the same as when I bought her home, extremely active and lively and has had a full health check as well as the initial check up on Tuesday, where she was again given a clean bill of health apart from the diarrhea.

I will be taking her back on Monday as the vet suggested if it continues (unless it gets worse between now and then, in which case she will be seen immediately), but does anybody here have any other suggestions or ideas od anything else I can try at home? Or has anybody dealt with anything similar?

Indie is 9 weeks old but was the runt of the litter, so slightly smaller.

Thanks for any ideas/suggestions/thoughts.

Did the vet test her poop for parasites or worms?  That would be my first guess.

IBD issues/ allergies to something in the food?

My Rogue
gets really bad explosive diarrhea when fed any canned stuff. The vet was clueless (but nice). I found out he cannot digest cooked chicken (the Rogue, that is. Not the vet.)... he's fine with raw food (he will eat anything from homemade ground to whole prey).

Thanks for your replies. She was wormed 2 weeks ago but they want a sample on Monday if it's still going on. I have tried her on raw but the issue is still going on but I will also ask about allergies on Monday when she goes back.

have you tried raw rabbit? that's the one usually with the least allergies to it, and there are stories with cats getting solid poop overnight when eating it (didn't work with the Rogue, it took him a few weeks to settle his intestines).
