I've got a pregnant kitty, very pregnant. I'm still having issues with her due date. Here's what I do know.
She went into heat around 3/10. I was out of town 3/14 -3/17, and when I returned, her heat cycle seemed to have passed.
Fast forward. She is most certainly pregnant as I have watched the weight gain and see babies moving. I've figured that she would have been 63 days (at the earliest) this past Sunday (5/11). At what point should I worry? She seems fine, but isn't acting much like delivery is imminent.
Again, she seems fine. She is sleeping more often and sleeping more soundly, but she's eating and playing when she's up. Kittens are very active. She's loving the cold hardwood floors, bathroom floors, cold glass computer desk, etc. Maybe I'm just overly anxious, but I could use some advice-if just to calm my nerves.

As I have observed here on this forum, following hundreds of anxious  cat parents, I got the definitive impressions cats do manage an extra long  pregnancy better than humans.  both mom and kittens.

while, kittens dont manage well a too short pregnancy, unlike humans.   So for example, a cesarean put too early, is highly dangerous to them: prematures dont have much chances.

so, my practical advice will be; prepare as well you can.  See where you do have your vet, and his telephone number, do observe and be watchful, but wait and see, dont panic.  No need to panic either.

The cat is also observing you.  If you are high stressed and worrying, she too will to worry and become anxious...

Good luck!

As long as she is not in distress you should be fine. Just be observant. Since you don't know for sure when she got pregnant, let her tell you how long. Good luck!

Thanks for all of your insights. Kota delivered two kittens tonight. She doesn't seem to be in labor any longer. Caring for her babies now.
I'm gonna watch her for a while:clap:

I think my kitty got pregnant about the same time yours did. I've just been waiting and waiting as all us cat moms were so hearing your story makes me feel like she's gonna be due any day now! Beautiful kitties btw, I love black cats :)

I have a question.
My cat, Dakota (Kota) had 4 kittens on the 17th. Everything has been fine. I have two other cats in the house (a male and a female) who have seen the kittens (supervised), but both hiss at the kittens.
This evening, Kota started moving the kittens from my daughter's room (where they can be kept seperate from the other cats), to under my bed (the primary room for the other cats).
Are the kittens gonna be safe?

I dont think there is any real danger for the kittens.  they hiss not because they are preparing an attack, but because they are a little unsure and afraid for the kittens.

That said, the ideal is if mom and kittens are still separated in your daus room.  Close the doors, simply, so mom cant get out...

Or close the others two in daus room, now when mom had moved kittens elsewhere.

Good luck!
