Indi just had her babies. I just came home from dinner at my BFs house and she didn't come out to greet me. I looked for her in her normal hiding spot in the closet and I hear her purring. I move the box away and I see her nursing her babies. She had 4!! I can't believe they all fit in there, no wonder she looked about to pop! All 4 are healthy and nursing, being cleaned at the moment. Good luck to you and Pringles! I'll post a pic as soon as I get a good one :) proud mama right now!

Happy birthday to you! Hopefully you get some babies as presents :) I was gone all day so I didn't see any labor signs from her. She was drinking a lot of water and still ate a bunch too! If indi just had hers, I'm sure Pringles will have hers soon!

Still?? Oh man, I bet she's huge! Poor Pringles! Indi and her babies are doing great! They're wiggling around a bit more and starting to mew a little bit. So cute! Good luck to your lil mama, I hope she's ready soon!

CONGRATULATIONS TO PRINGLES AND YOU!  I guess you were home with her then since you know the times of birth.  Five is a good sized litter.  I suggest changing out the used linens at 18-24 hours after the birth so she won't feel any need to move the kittens.  (If you change them too soon, some mothers seem to get confused as to where the nest should be.)  Also, while we expect everything to go just fine, I am sending you one of the links from my post #5 in this thread just so you know what problems to watch out for.  We don't expect any problems but if you click on this and read the article, you will know what to watch out for.  We'll be here in case you have more questions.

Urgent advice needed please

Pringles lost a little kitten this morning and she is moving the others everywhere so we have moved them all upstairs away from any noise and hoping she is going to keep them on one place
Do we move all the bedding they were previously in up stairs with them

Thanks u

Most often the mom is contend to take away the dead body.  Here she chooses to change the nest alltogether.

Nay, let her change the bedding too, if its possible for you.  You must anyway change the bedding now and then, so pretend its just a normal change of bedding and nest.

You do right to try and keep them unstressed.

Good luck!

I'm so sorry you lost a kitten

You really need to confine her to one room only if she is trying to move kittens around. This is for the kittens own safety as mother cats can decide to put them somewhere unsafe or they get too cold - and you really don't want to lose anymore.

Clean bedding will be fine now as she as already moved the kittens. You should give them clean bedding everyday day now :D

She has settled in the bedroom after moving them from where I put them she is now in the corner by the window the other side of our bed and is feeding them so I am guessing her is happy where she is now as lay feeding x

That looks like a good place for her.  Perhaps you can get some clean bedding under her and the babies.  Just make sure to keep her food and litter in the bedroom but not near her new nest.  She will probably be happy if you keep the bedroom door closed too, and then you will not have to worry about her moving the kittens very far even if she does move them.

It's not unusual to lose one early on, usually some internal birth defect, but if you lose more, it's best to take the entire family to the vet.  Years and years ago I had a mama cat who had an unusually large litter, and all seemed wel, and then suddenly they started dying one by one, and it was the fat healthy ones who went first.  No signs of illness, just gone.  After the third one (of 13!!) went, I took the entire family to the vet.  It would not have been surprising if the smaller ones died buut it was the biggest ones, and nobody seemed sick.  What the vet determined wa that the mother had some infection that was producing toxins in her milk, so the biggest ones ate the mot and were poisoned by it while the smaller ones didn't get nearly as much.  Mama went on antibiotics and I bottle fed the remaining kittens for 3 days while the antibiotics got a good hold on her.  Lost two more big ones the next day and then the other 8 lived.  I named the smallest one Nancy Renee, Nancy for the vet who had saved them, and Renee for Reborn.  I don't remember the year but it was the late 1960s or early 1970s and women vets were a lot less common then.  Nancy was great, super smart (she had to be in order to get into vet school against all that male competition.)  I lived in New Jersey at the time, have no idea if she is still alive but one of her associates is still practicing part-time there, and he's 77!
