Hello I recently had got a kitten she is 8 weeks old and is very healthy but today when I was holding her I seen that her anus opening is red (I thought it was blood) so I cleaned her up and found that she has two black spots on her anus by the opening. I tried cleaning it because I thought it was poop but its not, ive tqken her to the vet just yesterday, shes to small to treat for worms I have to wait another week... theres no smell or anything coming from it. What could this be? Should I take her back in? Is this normal?

If the two black spots are at approimately the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions on the circumferene of the anus, those would be the openings of the anal glands.  If her anus is inflamed, you can always put some vaseline or some triple antibiotic ointment on it to soothe it.  She will lick it off but it won't hurt her.

I would take her in and bring a stool sample.  It could be a parasite (worms from fleas) or it could be from straining to pass a hard stool, or even a prolapsed rectum (part of the inside of the intestine falls outside the body when passing stool, but it can easily be pushed back in.)  It could be inflamed anal glands too. Normally a little fluid is released when they poop.  If your kitten has blocked glands, they can do something about this at the vet.

Is the poop hard, dry looking when she poops?  Do you give wet food or dry food?  I give a little wet food daily as a 'treat' in addition to the dry food to give my kitties extra fluid.

Yeah lol I've never looked at a cats butt before but I had to cut her fur around that area and seen it. I have meds for worms to give her next week since she hasent been dewormed yet and she has to be a full 2 pounds to give them to her. And yesterday when they were at the doctor they didnt say anything about them.. And I give her wet and dry food. More wet then dry. So mycatwasthebes these spots are normal??
