Sorry to be slow getting back to you but I was out and I dont have a smart phone so only get on the computer when I'm home.   As long as he's actively nursing from her, let him keep at it.  After losing his real mother, he probably panics when you take him away from this new one he just found!  She's going to produce more milk quite quickly in response to the increased demand.  For your daily weighing, perhaps you can catch him when he's asleep, put the scale right next to the nest, weigh him quickly and then put him back with Molly.  If he's crying and NOT nursing, go ahead and feed him, but don't take him off her nipple to supplement him.  Keep feeling his tummy, it should always feel round, not flat.  Hungry kittens nurse constantly and it's really a better way for them to absorb nutrition, because it comes just a little bit at a time. I would expect him to nurse a lot more than the other kitten for awhile until he get to the right weight for his size.  Fingers crossed for this scrappy little guy!

Yes, please let us know how he's doing, if he's making it.  We DO get emotionally involved here.  Sometimes people dont realize that and forget to let us know when everything is fine, although they always come back if things are not going so well.

I have been super busy but so far molly has cleaned him he looks a lot better. I haven't seen much weight gain but my scale is only in ounces I am going to pick up a gram scale. I want to take him to the vet cause he just doesn't look normal. He had a odd head shape and a a slight under bight. When he feeds he moves his little arms so fast. Also his belly and arms are sort of a red tint where he has white fur is it possible he was born premature too me he just doesn't look normal.

If you do not feel like he is getting adequate nutrition, go ahead and supplement him.

Our last batch of kittens were orphans. We got them at 2 wks and paired them with a young momma cat who's only kitten had weaned herself at 8 wks old. We knew momma was producing milk, though we didn't feel it was enough as the kittens were nursing 24/7 (and they werent gaining much weight.). We began supplementing them 3 times a day. They would suck down 2-4 oz of milk each time. As soon as we did this, their weights started improving.

are you using  a dropper? be sure you are putting it into the cheek and just giving him a few drops at a time, then wait, no matter how he is acting, for several seconds. then repeat, giving just a few more drops. keep repeating.  it is very hard for them to not actually take some in this way although it is time consuming.

I think he's gone through a lot of emotional upset due to loss of his mother and then a human trying to feed him, so you trying to supplement him now may actually make him feel he's losing another mother.  After he has been with Molly for awhile he may relax.  They do get pretty hysterical when they have come close to starving to death and it takes awhile for them to relax again.  I had one that looks a lot like yours -- I named him Furby -- and he had funny deformed feet and he never grew as big as a normal cat but stayed the size of a 5-month old kitten, but he made it.  He had come so close to starving to death that he cried for 3 days pretty much non-stop although I was feeding him every 2 hours.  I bought earplugs so I could get a little sleep between feedings.  It was a great relief when he finally shut up and slept.

Yeah I feel bad for the little guy he went through 4 fosters before me he lost his mom then the other 2 people tried to feed him and he wouldn't eat. Then they introduced him to a mom cat with her litter but he got stepped on and couldn't eat. Then was given to a women who he ate only a little bit from her. If I were him I would be upset too
