I only have 100 or so of those listed
You don't even want to know what my monthly ebay fees are!

Oh man!

I hate ebay fees!!

You know for the longest time I had no idea that they take money out after you sell your item
I only thought they charge you a listing fee.. so I was sitting here going, why do I keep having to pay money in my paypal, I just paid!
Then finally I found the page with the invoices and saw that they took money each time I sold something

Just thought it would be fun to bump this one up again.

Right now I'm selling some purses, some necklaces and a few other items

Not at all. Its really easy to grow. I was planting some for my cats and a few of the seeds fell into the crack in the sidewalk on my front porch and the grass grew there!

Its reall easy, just plant and water

Yeah the fees arent THAT bad. Especially if you get a bidding war goin on and you sell your stuff for more than you planned

I'm thinking of selling a bunch of VHS videos I have because I'm going pretty much to DVD's. But I'm wondering if it will be worth it since I'll probably only be able to sell them for $4 or $5 at the most.

I sell lots of stuff for just a few bucks. You can cut down on your listing fees by not adding gallery pics.. (thats 25 cents each listing). And I think lots of people still buy VHS. However, you may want to buy a couple small items first if you dont have an account, just so that you can get a couple positive feedbacks... people tend to bid more on people's items that have reputation!

I agree with Sicy. Definitely establish yourself before you start selling things. It worked to our advantage, but I really think the reason that we got the laptop for $640 instead of $850-900 is because the guy selling it had zero feedback and no one wanted to risk it with a new seller. (One of the easiest way to "scam" on Ebay is to just start a new account when you get too many negative feedbacks, which is one reason why people don't like to buy from someone not established.)

I've bought quite a bit from ebay and have a few positive responses (no negative). I wish everyone would rate me when I buy something but they don't.

Ok I'm going to try this. I just listed about 9 movies I'm going to try to sell on ebay and see how it goes. It only cost me about .30 per movie to list them. Hopefully some of them will sell! I need some money! I'm trying to figure out what else I can sell around here!

Yup, same here.

What I do like to do is, when I go back to a seller I bought from before and buy again, because their items/prices/service were good, I make sure to note in my feedback for them that I am a repeat customer, I think that looks good for them.

I don't buy anymore unless the seller takes PayPal. I have had 3 bad experiences with Money Orders, where I did a trace on it and it had been cashed, but the seller swears they never got payment. I refused to send payment twice for the same object and offered to send the results of the trace, but instead got negative feedback as a result.
I'd rather get negative feedback than get scammed like that.
