Our cat midget had her litter on Mother's day. She delivered four kittens (the first didn't make it :( the others are doing great. Then Mon she delivered two stillborn kittens also sad. But my question is she suddenly started panting. Is there anything I should be worried about or is this normal?

Suddenly, several days after?  Nay, its not normal if it is longer than a few minutes.  It may be complications of some sort!  Please phone your vet, he will know which follow up questions to give.

Try and measure her temp, you can do it in the armpit of foreleg, its easier than in  the behind.  the temp there is a little lower, 3 grades Fahrenheit lower than in the behind.  1 full grade Celcius.

The vet will probably ask about the temp.

Please continue to report and ask.

Good luck!

Yeah its only been two days and she was panting off and on for about 15 mins. She's stopped since then. Thanks I'll definitely check her temperature.

ah, only two days?  It is quite common they have some after contractions.  Having such contractions, she will be panting some minutes of course.   so this is why, a couple or some minutes, probably nothing much, but longer than so - sound the alarm bells...

But if it has stopped, its good.    :)

Keeping an eye on temp is wise, as high temp is a good forewarmer for infections.   You dont want to bother her unnecessarily, so dont measure in the behind, use such a modern ear termometer or in the armpit.  Its not so exact, but exact enough to see tendencies.  (take consideration the temp there is lower)

Good luck!
