I have new flowers for Mothers Day. Two are Gerber Daisy's and one is Verbena. They are in hanging baskets. I have read that he Gerber is non toxic and the verbena is toxic. Does anyone have any experience in having these plants around cats. I want experience, not web links. I have looked them up on a lot of lists already. I was thinking of putting the daisys on tables on my screen porch. My cat stays out there a lot. I have never before had any plants there because I have had as many as three cats at the time who stayed on the porch some.

Gerber daisies are nontoxic for cats so if they decide to take a taste there isn't a risk for anything. If you've never had plants/flowers around your. Cat before just keep on eye on him or her that they don't try to knock the vase over. My cat will usually try to eat leaves off plants or flowers so I make sure anything in the house is safe for her in case she takes a chomp.

W willows momma Thank you. This was exactly what I was looking for and hoping. I will put them on the porch when I can sit there with her for a while and see if she notices them. They are in baskets. I just want to be sure she doesn't munch.
