First time TCS member, forever cat lover. A year ago I had to lay my first and only feline friend to sleep after 16 long, amazing years together! My husband and I have recently started looking to expand our family to four legs. He was able to tolerate my indoor medium domestic but it was painful to watch....I've acquired this forum to help in the search of different breeds and also to get to know the community.

So far we have looked into Cornish or Devon Rex. Any advise or stories are greatly appreciated.

Lastly I give you my baby, Pnuk (Pa-knuck) like pee-knuckle. The story goes she was pawing at the front door on a stormy night while a trio of older ladies played pee-knuckle, thus her name! And i took her in several months later. We lived in Portland, Oregon then Chicago,....then moved back to the suburbs in with my family(I was only 19ish at the time) then after a few years, even putting her diabetes into remission and meeting my husband; the three of us moved to Minnesota.

 2013

her actual paw prints the vet was kind enough to get prints from her.

To insist that she needed to be petted, Pnuk head butted my crotch...

  big streeeeetch!!!

Thank you!! Yes! The vet was kind enough to give me two clay paw prints and to go above and beyond I asked and received her prints. I tried to do it while she was alive but its hard to get detail when the cat isn't fond of pressing her paws on paper lol.
the clay prints are cute too, it was actually a kit which makes me wonder if vets are carrying the kits.

Welcome to the site, I hope you find answers to any questions you have. I love your pictures and am so glad you are looking for another furry companion. I also LOVE your 'prints', what a great idea!  Bless you for giving a home to another little soul, good luck!

I appreciate that! I've never had a kitten before so I'm pretty excited when I find the right one!

Welcome to TCS

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved Pnuk. l'm glad you're considering giving another kitty a loving home.

l have a Cornish Rex, and if you've already heard that they're crazy you're half way there. They're absolute nut jobs! They have an insatiable love for play, or anything new, or anything at all really. lf you're up and about doing something, the Rex has to be front and centre. lf you enjoy peace and quiet and solitude this is not the right cat
lf you're looking for a constant companion who is hyper, good humoured, and always busy, this is exactly your cat.

Good luck with your search, l'll look forward to your updates.

This house is too quiet...just my husband and I. He travels a lot, so I have plenty of space and love to give! Thank you Andrya and mollomint!

does your rex go outside at all? Or do any of your cats venture outside?

NooOOoo, mine don't go out at all. Most Rex breeders here put it into their contract that you will never let it out (they'd freeze to death here if they got lost).

All 3 stay indoors quite happily.
