My blue tuxedo, Special Agent Meow just came home with us in February (at that time he was 7 months old). I don't even know if the bump was there when we brought him in, because we so happy to have such a great pet. We got him from the Santa Cruz SPCA.

He's our baby, and I just want to make sure this isn't something serious. He does have a habit of running face-first into the sliding glass window for no reason, but he's never hurt himself to the point of concussion or bleeding.

The bump also doesn't seem to bother him much and he kind of likes it when I rub the spot.

So, is this just a structure thing or is it something more? He also snored quite a bit, but doesn't usually have any other breathing problems.
You can't really see it from the font view...

But you can really see it from the side. Like I said, it's a very hard bump--like a broken nose.

Hmmm....it looks like a normal cat nose to me.

When he runs into the glass is there a bird or squirrel that he can see?

That would make sense, but no. I think he likes the sounds the blinds make when closed, so he runs into them and thereby runs into the window.

He's just a little special, but he's our Special :-)

All my cats have the bump. Totally normal. I like it it makes them look like panthers.

One of my cats had the equivalent of a broken nose a few years ago (she got closed in the recliner). Her nose was indented, not bumped out. The vet told us the nose area is all cartilage, so they can't really have a broken nose, just cartilage damage. It healed on it's own because there wasn't anything that could be done.
That being said, your kitty's nose looks just fine to me! He has a cute little bump.

Here is pic of Pooper's nose now. It is hard to get a good pic because she is so dark, but you can see how her nose is slightly crooked. The line across the top is a bit slanted. From a profile view, her nose still has a small indentation, but I'm probably the only one who would ever notice it.
