Good morning, all!

I stayed up too late, then woke up too early. I can't blame Simba this morning, though - he was zonked out at the foot of the bed. I get up so early during the week, it sometimes makes hard to sleep in on the weekends.

I have to go to a wedding today a couple of hours away, so most of today will be spent in the car or at the wedding.

Halloween was fun last night, I had a lot of trick-or-treaters. And I remembered to take my pumpkins in when I closed up for the night, so I shouldn't have smashed pumpkin all over my driveway to clean up this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Hubby is going into work today, I am going to settle for a game, Kingdom Hearts - I am halfway into it and loving it

Hubby must have had a weird dream last night because I was awakened with a punch to my jaw!
I told him this morning and he didnt remember it. I forgave him of course!

I got my kabocha squash last night! Yay! It is the NZ version of a pumpkin, I searched high and low for it and I told my friend Dawn about it and she found it at the co-op where she volunteers. I can now make my soup.

Well, better go and get my coffee, its ready! And then eat my vegemite on toast!

Movin' on up!
Ugh! Woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I have a knot in my neck, the size of Gibralter and can't turn my head without a lot of pain. I'm hoping that Ben-Gay and ibuprofen will help.

We had to come home early, last night. The bar was very crowded and some idiots kept turning off the ceiling fans. As a result, the smoke got Bill's asthma to kick up and we were home, by 9:00.

Things are such a mess, at Bill's company, that he had to go in, from 6-12 today and maybe for a few more Saturdays. I'm going to take advantage of his absence, to go to Speedway Racing Collectibles and Christmas shop.

The bank, credit union and 99-cent store are all on my agenda, for the day. Maybe, I can pop into Big Lots and find some new pillows. Mine are kind of squished and compacted too thin. That's probably why my neck is knotted.

Have a good weekend!

You remind me when my wife Carol was pregnant - about 6 months on and resembled a... well she was huge - she and I were asleep in the early hours one weekend.
I was dreaming and dreamt that a certain person who is no longer alive had started on me and he had hit me - I was on my back and I gave him a huge left hook, then a second and then a third. With the third my head registered pain and the realisation that I had made contact with something solid. What it was that was solid was my wife's back
The bruising to Carol's back was massive and was around for weeks. I explained it to her and she completely understood - I dream quite bad sometimes - she had realised what had happened immediately. She forgave me instantly.
I went straight to the phone to contact our midwife as I was terrified i had done something that may have affected the baby. I also went to the ante natal appts as wanted to explain it had been an accident and in my sleep.
I still apologise to this day for that incident - I still feel bad and always wonder what may have happened had she been facing me? Carol laughs it off - I dont think I would have been able to live with myself had anything happened that day. Thankfully it didn't and i think Christopher gets his own back on me when we have our daily play scrap!

LOL Kev!
You are very lucky to have a wonderful, understanding woman like Carol - at least she knows it was an accident and I have done my share of hurting Jake while I was asleep - at times I have tried to kick him out of the bed - and I mean literally kicking!

I suffer from night terrors as well, so he is used to me doing strange things.

I dream a lot about airplanes - either being in them or watching them crash. Carol says this is cause I have seen three airplane crashes - by way of being at air displays etc when it happened and every time people have been killed and been involved in a near miss some years ago that necessitated an emergency landing.
Anyone in Toronto may recall the Ex years ago when Captain Shane Anatayla was killed when two aircraft collided over the lake. I photo'd them touching and the second before the impact and after as well as the other pilot that survived by ejecting.
I Think my head is going!!!!

Hi Guys.

Just got up again way too early for a sunday morning!

Just going to see if I can go and witness another mating of Woopi & Danlara for today.

At 3PM I'm getting picked up to go to PPCF(Pedigree Persian Cat Fanciers) meeting and I'm taking Woopi back to Nana.

Have a great day all!

Sam.

Bucking hay in 32 degrees is not my idea of a good time! But it had to be done. My body is aching, but the hay barn is full and the kittens now have all this wonderful new exercise area to play on. I had to laugh at Wink though, she was trying to climb up the stacks of hay by using her claws (slippery- hay is slippery) and she kept falling. Not hurting herself, but looking really frustrated in her attempts. Finally Noddy showed her a really neat tunnel through the stuff that we left intentionally for them, so they are playing follow the leader. Then we insulated the outside wall of the bathroom and Mike is closing it in now. I think when I showed him frozen shampoo this morning, the point was well taken to FINISH THE DANG REMODELING!

Now I need to get to work- everyone stay safe!

I just got home from work. Heck of a lot of fun. I had to write the CHRISTMAS newsletter today! Gah! It was so hard, because I'm not in the Christmas spirit yet at all... I can't believe my town's Santa parade is in two weeks.

Socks is sitting here licking the kitchen floor. My dear brother must have spilled his apple juice again.
He doesn't seem to understand the equation of spill something = clean it up! (I'd be nicer if he were little, but he's 16!)

I'm eating Halloween candy. I think I'm on my fifth microscopic Oh Henry. Meh. Eat healthy, die anyway.

I talked to my parents last night and they're actually willing to help me buy a car. I won't have any money to put gas in it, lol, but I'll have a car again! I miss the freedom of having a car soooo much.

Tomorrow, I get to do a whole biology project. Yay for procrastinating!
Does anyone know anything about DNA Synthesis?

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Jenn, why don't you PM okeefcl - she works in lab, doing something with genetics. Maybe she can help.

Just got home from eating at a mexican restaurant and walking downtown Asheville - it was so warm, and beautiful. Bought a pair of sleepers (earrings), havent worn earrings in years so I feel more ladylike

Rented Whale Rider - a NZ film that I can't wait to see! It came Highly recommended, so when I finish talking to my parents tonight (when they do come online), I will watch it.

Okay, I see them online now, bye for now!

Made chicken nuggets!! Yumm yummm...finished cooking dinner, some beef something and some eggplant veggie stuff......can't wait for it to cool a little so that I can chow down....in the meantime I'll snack on my chicken nuggets

About to finish watching Formula 51. I'm surprised this movie even was produced, considering the negative impacts of drugs, especially esctasy these days...and it's about making drugs....
but I like Samuel Jackson (sometimes)....I think I wouldn't recommend this movie...don't know what good message they are trying to send....

Right here! :)
This was allmost one of the days where I just stay inside doing nothing, and let everything get messy, when I intended to tidy up...
I was gonna exchange an outside overall for Oliver, but couldnt be bothered, so I phoned the shop, said I couldnt make it today and asked her to hold the overall I want.
The other day at the catshow I was gonna buy litter, but the one I want was out of stock, so I bought is anyway (there was discount on everything when you bouth it on the show), and then it will be brought to me when it arrives. I thought I had enought litter, since the girls dont use it much, except when the weather is very cold. So now, when I am practically out of litter, it´s freezing outside, and Pollýanna has to stay inside because of the thing on her head to prevent her from licking her hair off. So that last couple of days they have been protesting, doing no.2 right outside the box, in the catbed, peeing in the shower...The litter probably arrives monday, but in the mean time I had to do something, and was gonna buy a new kind of silicon balls, that are not round, so theyr will not be all around the flat. That was sold out as well...so either I will just wait untill monday, or buy something I dont like at the supermarked tomorrow.

I haven´t been able to take the yoga classes as much as I want to, so my s/o bought me a yoga dvd, and I tried it today - and loved it.

Oliver and I took a walk out to the shop on the corner, a 3 minutes walk away. It took a little longer, since he also walked - by himself. He has never walked this far before, he just started walking a month ago, and this was so cute, he was walking like a drunk, couln´t keep a completely straight like, and with his hand up in the air.

It's been a strange day today. I think I'm coming down with a cold. Took Jake in to get groomed today. He is all clean and handsome now! And the groomer said he was a good boy! When I got home with him, Peaches had to check him out thoroughly. Either she missed him or she thought it was another new cat!

Hallie is out quite a bit now. I put her back in the spare room several times a day for a couple hours just so she can have a nice quiet place to eat.

Jenn, I know a bit about DNA synthesis. I propogated and prepped DNA in the lab I worked at. Don't know if I can help you or not but I'd be willing to try!

Have a good evening everyone!

Spent the whole day dealing with overly hyper children. I hope to God this candy rush wears off soon. I'm plain tuckered out! And losing my patience.... if they don't settle down soon, I'm going to pig out on tons of candy and give them a taste of what a mommy on candy rush is like!

Planning on hiding all the candy.

Grandma is here spending the weekend with me.
She's been staying here every other weekend since grandpa passed away. It's nice having her here

Just finished watching the movie Whale Rider - also talked to my dad and he said that it is filmed where my tribe is from. It is a wonderful film, I recommend that you see it.
