I just wanted to thank everyone here for your help with my boys. Tiger is doing much better today, hes actually purring today! Taz seems a little better but has a ways to go, and Little bit and Irving are still pretty sick. I do feel better about them pulling through since Tiger has bounced back. I have to say this whole ordeal has been really scarey for me. I have learned alot in the last 2 weeks.

Mycatwasthebest you ask what I meant by their mouths being open. It was like they couldnt breath and they was breathing or panting with their mouth open. They was also drooling, and it really scared me. I talked to a vet and she said that sometimes they do that when they cant breath. I put them in a steamy bathroom twice a day and give them 500mg of lysine twice a day. Fortunately im seeing improvement in all of them but one (littlebit) and he has me a little concerned. They have all lost wt since they have been  sick so im giving them chicken, tuna ect. Irving has always been little and skinny and he cant afford to loose wt.

I did contact the administrator and was told that they wouldnt pay for the treatment of the cats. I did get the impression that they would pay for them to be seen but I would be responsible for the rest. He also told me that cats have herpevirus in their system and it wasnt uncommon for them to get sick after being fixed. I do think that if this is true, they should tell people that this is a possibility and tell them what to do if it happens. Again I want to thank everyone here for your input. It was a tremendous help!

If you do have to take your cats to the vet and can't afford a huge vet bill, ask your vet about Care Credit.  Its a credit card....and has ZERO percent interest anywhere from 6-18 months (as long as balance is paid in full)

When my cat started having seizures and I was making trips to the vet and Emergency Vet, that Care Credit came in real handy.  Also, you might want to check in to Pet Insurance.

Sending good vibes to your and your boys!

Good luck!

beiyan Tiger is doing great, Taz is eating and drinking but still has a stuffy nose and sneeze, Irving doesnt want to eat their cat food, chicken, tuna ect but will eat treats and drink. Im concened about his wt loss because he was little before this started. He is however walking around and sleeping next to me and doing the kneading thing with his paws. Littlebit is worrying me though. He doesnt want to eat or drink right now, so im blending up chicken and feeding it to him by syringe. Im also giving him water and a little pedialyte. Taz,Littlebit and Irving sit in a steamy bathroom 2-3 times a day also. Thanks for asking.

Catwoman thank you for all of your advice. Littlebit's poor nose is so sore right now. He doesnt want me touching it. Im really suprised how strong he is right now. Hes a handfull when im trying to feed him or give him the lysine. I wrap him in a towel and he still gets out.

I just wanted to give everyone a update today. Yesterday was a really bad day for Littlebit and Irving. They both stopped drinking and eating and didnt look well at all.last night, and was wheezing really bad.  A friend of mine brought me some antibiotic and I started giving it to them yesterday. Im giving it every 12hrs so this morning was their second dose. Today im so happy because they both have ate and drank alot of water.

They came out of their beds and are now in the living room with me laying around. I know its still going to take awhile for them but I can definately see a difference. Everyone will probably think im crazy but when I go to bed I have been taking them to bed with me, that way I could reach over and feel them and make sure they was still ok during the night. I think we are making progress here!

So glad your friend brought you the amoxi and that it worked so well and your babies are fine now.  Just know the same thing could have happened in a vet clinic, they could have caught an upper respiratory virus there as well.  I try to make sure mine are vaccinated at least once before using the mobile neuter-spay van, although the one I use is VERY careful about admission exam and if a cat is sneezing they will send him home with his owner and reschedule for another day.  Vaccines don't protect against all respoiratory infections, but they do protect against the worst ones.
