About 3 weeks ago I expierenced my first birth if kittens everything went great! Now my other cat is expecting from my own actions of taking in a stray I thought was fixed, problem solved in that case now, anyway I woke up this morrning and there was a small kitten, not alive, and some blood in the box my expecting cat sleeps in! Nothing else has happened so far this morning but I'm guessing she had a miscarriage, I know she isn't due yet, at first I thoughts it was a dead mouse but when I looked closer it was a kitten! I'm going to call the vet in hopes that they can see her today just to make sure everything is ok! If she can't be seen what should I watch out for with her?

raised temp, more bleeding (more than some red colored water), pus... visibly in distress in other ways, is all alarming.

If she seems calm, ok in every way you can see, its probably not alarming, and you may even wait and see.   (although It IS wise to have this vet visit if you can and afford).

She may have still some alive unborn kittens, whom with any luck may be delivered alive and healthy when their proper time has come.

Please continue and report.

Good luck!

Thank you I'll let everyone know what the vet says, she seems to be happy and normal this morning

The kitten was almost full term, took X-rays didn't see anymore kittens! He think she had just that one but I did a search of the house and didn't find anymore! He said if my other cat will allow let her help mother the other kittens! That shouldn't be a problem she lets her already

Tiggs had one like that, it was about 5/6cms long and was white, hairless, and very undeveloped! They said she got caught with it around 4 weeks after she got pregnant with the first two so they estimated it was around 4/5 weeks gestation

ah, so it was one of these double pregnancies  simultaneously?   Sometimes they both litters go full time, all kittens from both litters delivered in their time and healthy.

but sometimes, the journey ends way too early for some of them, like here....

Yeah, I wasn't aware that could happen so far apart, but he said the kitten was 'healthy' and showed no signs of obvious defect, it was just too premature!
