exciting news. I had adopted a purebred Aby several months ago, only to return her to the rescue because she had Giardia and I was unprepared to deal with a contagious parasite issue. Well, turns out after all my fears, my other cat got it anyway from somewhere outside. Now my Lily stays indoors always. Six months ago I saw and fell in love with a beautiful Abyssinian mix at my local kill shelter. My mother finally agreed to let me adopt her and so we are going to get her tommorrow provided she is STILL available. She has been at the shelter for six months so she should be and I am keeping my fingers crossed. Her is her bio and pic. http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?act...=1&row=0&tmpl=

over a month now and her living area has been bleached and vacumed. I was very careful about throwing away her litter every single day while she was being medicated. She tested clear and I hope this is the last I ever see of this STUBBORN parasite. It took me 6 weeks, 3 rounds of meds, and almost $200 to clear up! That is why Lily will only go outside in a pen from now on.
