I'm sorry I haven't been on since winter. Thank you all again for the advice on sheltering Kira through the storm. I ended up breaking an ankle on the last ice storm (cause it was sleet, not snow), but managed to still care for the kitties. They got used to the crutches right before I stopped needing them so much. Lol

She did not, in fact, get too freaked out by her stay in the foyer. She still loves to come inside and explore a bit, even when I don't offer food. She and her sister Luna (as in looney Luna Lovegood, for any fans of Harry Potter, lol) are inseparable. They've been celebrating spring with a surprising amount of bonding and playing.

Still waiting on a trap for Tiger, who's been fighting a bit much. :-( Its upsetting when such a smart and pretty cat keeps putting himself and the others in danger. I was told I should be getting a trap in a week or so, so cross your fingers.

But yeah, the semiferal sisters have been bonding with me quite a bit. I've had Kira and Luna stretch against the back door and nearly tough my hand. *melts* And that was after they ate. They play with me standing outside with them...

Which I wanna get a video of sometime! Luna is a nut for the laser pointer. Kira just looks at me like "seriously? I'm not fooled by that". Kira, instead, ambushes her sister while playing. Lol They play together so adorably. No hissing or yowling, just wrestling and chasing.

So, overall, they made it through a terrible winter, and seem to be thriving in such a friendly neighborhood. And Tiger at least seems to get along with the girls pretty well.

Thanks for the update and glad the kitties fared well during the awful winter mess.  Sorry to hear about your ankle, but glad you are getting better now.

Keep us posted on getting Tiger trapped.  When it comes to unneutered males fighting, it is the hormones that are the driving force.  They have no control over it.  Once neutered most of the behaviors will diminish or completely go away.  Just remember it takes a few weeks for the hormones to deplete.
