Meet PepperAnne aka Peppy aka Poopy/Poophead. She is the oldest of our furr babies. Very much loved.

Swing back to appx 2000/2001. I don't think my nephew was born... dh says he was... so the year is unclear.
She was born to a feral momma living in an old house or shed. I remember the gal at the bank telling me her white cat had 4 kittens.
I always knew I wanted 2... for buddies. My sister wanted one... hers was a boy. Max. Max lasted at her house one day lol. He missed his sisters. So he moved in. We lived next door so it was no big deal.

We got Peppy and Ms. Milo (thought she was a boy) and and Max was suppose to go to my sister.
For being feral (no human contact until us) at so young they sure were friendly (except Peps... she was a spitfire). They were 5 weeks old when we got them (owner wanted all kittens killed. Not offered to people or taken to the vet. No... killed)
Did they fix momma cat? No...poor momma got knocked up within days of us taking the kittens.
At the time there were 6 cats who gave or were due to give birth in this old abandoned place (we found out much later... still kills me).
First thing we did when the kittens were old enough was fix them!

Pepper was always picked on by her siblings. They were Meezers (Siamese) and bullies. Would not play with her, sit on the bed or lay with us... just meanies. They as sweet as can be with us. Never a mean bone in their bodies to humans... just poor Peps.
Now mind you... this the girl who swatted a black bear in our yard! And yet could not handle her bully sister and brother.
Look who has lasted the longest of the three. Amazing to me. Once they passed in 2008/2010ish... she came out of her shell.
She mostly lives under the big tree behind our house. If you call her she comes running. She doesn't come in the house now that the kittens moved in. The few times she has met them, she lets them know who is boss.

She is such a sweet girl. I wish she was inside more but in her old age I just let her be, hanging out under the tree.
If she is not in the tree in the back, we have her old cat tree we hauled from Alaska by the front door outside in the shade.

Today... ♡♡♡

Pretty Peppy! I love torties.
They always seem to have such huge, expressive eyes. It sure would be nice if she would come inside more, especially if she has to battle bears! Is there a spare room inside she could call her own? Maybe a slow introduction to the kittens would make her more comfortable inside?

She was an indoor cat until the last year or two. She comes in to eat and drink. She talks loud and will not stop until she is let out. She cuddles when she wants to.
