I read about using Borax on the carpets also for the fleas. Not sure if anyone can chime in about that.

We got one dose of revolution for our kitten from our low cost clinic and plan on ordering more. I hate fleas. Not sure anyone likes them, but my husband goes to people's houses for a living and we are always worried about bringing something home. If he ever steps on a cockroach he will buy new shoes the same day.

I think Advantage is safer, especially for a pregnant cat. Maybe ask your vet.

Heidi is starting to get more rounder ... I figure 3/4 more weeks ... She hasn't attacked our dog today which is good and I'm hoping after the kittens are born and have found new loving homes that she and our dog will learn to get along

Saw and felt our cats babies first movements... Very exciting!! Bringing back memories of my own pregnancy in the past lol ... So I figure 3/4 more weeks to go? She was laying on her side when I saw movement and felt kicks

So we've had our cat since April 10th/11th ... She had found her way into our home through the basement ... Long story short we tried finding her owner if she had one but no luck but in the mean time my family and I fell in love with her and now she's part of the family ... By my figurations she should have her babies in around a week.. Give or take a few days .. Past couple of days she has been following everywhere I go when she's not sleeping and when I'm at the kitchen counter doing something she will sit by my feet , watch me and meow ... She has never done any of that since we took her in ... I know it's affection and I read up that your cat can get very affectionate the closer to delivering ... She hasn't started nesting yet but her change in behavior leads me to think that very soon she's going to go into labor ? Or am I wrong ?

You are surely very right, its nearing.   Although the exact hour is impossible to tell...

My guess is, she either got astray while being in heat, probably being an inside only cat and unsused to manage on her own.

OR, get thrown out when in heat, because she was in heat...

Both she and you were lucky she found you.

I shall   admit some links in a little while.

Good luck!

My kitty just had her babies last night while I was away. She looked huge and uncomfortable but those were the only signs I noticed. She still ate a lot and drank a lot of water super affectionate as we'll but I really had no idea when she was gonna have them

Ok so our cat Heidi has been licking her genitals several times today but not what would be considered constant ... She doesn't normally lick as much as she has been today ... She's also being going into places like she shouldn't like being the tv stand and behind the washing machine which both have now been blocked off ... Other then those 2 things nothing else had been going on except for the following me around and meowing ONLY while I'm doing stuff on the kitchen counter ... I figured around June 4th she'd start labor but now I'm thinking possibaly sooner?? Like I said it's not a constant licking but it's more then her norm .... I've included a recent photo of her too ... Do cats ' drop ' before labor ? Does it look she has to you ?

Yes, cats usually do drop before the labor, alike humans.

Its apparently nearing, but we still cant know the exact hour,  nor even the exact day...

Good luck!

Update on Heidi ... I believe she lost her mucus plug tonight ... It was a brown snot like substance ... She hasn't started nesting , no milk has come in yet and she is still relaxed so I'm thinking it won't happen real soon but should in a few days at most .. She's right around 9 weeks

Congratulations!!  It looks like she is going to be a wonderful momma, and you are going to love having kittens to snuggle until they go to their forever homes!  Do you plan on getting Heidi spayed once the kittens are weaned?

Sooo it's been almost 8 hrs since her last delivery ... I was pretty sure she would have 3/4 .. It's also her first litter ... She isn't acting like she's in labor anymore so would it be safe to presume she is done? Loving the 2 she delivered .. Both look great! One has 7 claws on both front paws

Probably, but not 100% sure.   They CAN have pauses, several hours or even days.

Practically, it doenst matter much.  As long as she is calm, happy with the situation, no visible problems, you just go on as usual.

If you KNOW there are more, you are extra observant and watchful of course, but dont need to panic.

If you see problems, you contact your vet asap.

Here she is OK and everythign seems OK, so you just copy along, as usual.

Good luck!

Oh how funny extra toes!
An two healthy little ones is great, plus much easier than a big group! Though a heard of cute kittens seems sweet, sure it's hard work.

So it's just the 2 kittens but that's fine .. I have a concer at the moment .... I found a small amount of blood on their bedding towel and am concerned .. I took a look at both kitty's and mama but no sign of blood on them except for mamas nipples that are bloody red looking on the tips from the constant sucking on them ... Everyone is acting fine, could it be that one of the kittens peed and it's bloody? Any thoughts / ideas on what it is from??
