Hello, my cat is a longhair and after getting spayed recently her fur just grew even more.
I brush her regularly, she doesn't let me brush her belly and chest though although I try.
I found out some fur on her chest had matted and wouldn't detangle when I tried untangling it so I resorted to
a detangling shampoo.
I went to petsmart and got 'Whisker City Waterless detangling shampoo' there's an image of it below.
There weren't other products available for that particular issue.
I sprayed a little on the area and decided to wait 5 minutes before brushing so the fur would be a little
more loosened up and my cat wouldn't feel pain when the fur was pulled.
It didn't work and to make things worse my cat started licking on it. About 15 mins later she was wheezing when
breathing she's developed phegm. I've wiped off the shampoo with a warm wet washcloth repeately at least to
get rid of it because she keeps licking the wet fur.
Has anyone else experience this or heard anything about this particular shampoo..? I've checked reviews online
bt cant find anything. I'm now waiting for a friend with a car to pick up up later we have to see a vet because her
breathing is not improving even after she drank water.
Any advice will be greatly appreiciated, thanks.
