poinsettias aren't just toxic...they are DEADLY TOXIC...I think you should call the vet and tell him she ate it and approximately how much
u sure she didn't chew on a plant? as much as my cat liked whiskas their mo has changed and if she were still alive I wouldn't give her any of their products
welwellwell...u learn something new everyday!
I must confess that I am one of the 70% who believed that poinsettias are very harmful to cats. After doing some reading, I will reduce that to "harmful" as it will still make them sick but it is not as bad as some of the other plants. I will still not have one in the house because I have two furry munchkins who like to try to visit my plants so needless to say, all my plants are where they cannot get to them. Plants interests cats and thankfully, our Poison Control does have a list of what ones to watch. One thing I have done which did draw their attention away from my plants is buying them cat grass. This pampered pair get fresh cat grass every second week. Though they can't reach my plants, they also don't sit near where they are staring, planning and plotting to get to them. I am glad your kitty is back to normal. Give her a big snuggle.
how tall? it doesn't drop leaves, right?
I think we all go through something like this from time to time, no matter how experienced we are.Glad to read that she is feeling fine and back to normal.
I have an Oxalis plant (shamrock) that can be quite toxic to cats and I have had to move this twice due to the curiosity and persistence in wanting to get at it, of my little tuxedo. It now sits in a tall plant stand.
Tall enough .. No leaf dropping as all of my plants are regularly pruned.
