New Cat Mommy sayin' hi!

Hello there, I am actually a cat lover from way back, and had beloved cats my whole childhood, we have just recently adopted a stray, and it's all coming back how much i truly love these animals! 

Our stray is the sweetest, chillest, most lovable kitty! I am certain she was inside at some point, I hope she was lost, not abandoned because that would make me mad! 

Anyway, after a couple weeks, and trying to find her owners, we let her into our home, and we fell in love with her, and also noticed that she was most possibly pregnant! Since we already decided to keep her, we took her to the Vet, got a good bill of health, and an x-ray. the Vet, and Myself, were both floored, 7-8 kittens!! Yikes! 

I found your site in researching how to attend to momma cat, since I have never done this! I spent alot of time in here reading! It was so very helpful when delivery time came! Shadow was a champ! She delivered 7 live kittens, but the last one didn't last the night

Shadow knew what she was doing when she wormed her way into your heart! She and her kits are absolutely beautiful! Are you keeping any of the kittens? we dont intend to keep any, lol my husband is NOT a cat person, however, he is quite infatuated with shadow, so that is a miracle. Unless he suddenly decides he wants two cats haha then they all need homes. I seem to be doing well in that area already, so i think it shouldnt be too hard. I told my kids, boy-10 and girl-8 that we could name them for the time they are here, one is already oreo  

Don't joke too loud- My husband and I had a cat adopt us just a few days before giving birth last summer. My hubs wasn't a cat person... until 4 days before we were set to send all the babies to their new forever homes. We discussed it and he decided we shouldn't give them all away. We ended up keeping the mom and two of the kittens!!  My bit of advice- if you want to keep a kitten too, pick the cuddliest one and get him to hold it as much as possible

By the way- Your kitties are all adorable; one of our kittens that we kept is a beautiful grey like Shadow
