I just transitioned my girls off their kitten kibble onto their adult kibble and all was well except both are straining a bit to poop and there's been and increase in poops out if the box (i think from giving up partway through? Lol.)

They are on a predominantly wet diet and just have kibs for snacking since I work very long days.

They were on royal canin development and I switched them to hills dental. New food has Double the fibre of old food... Ideas in what it could be so that I can look out for it in whatever I choose to try next? Neither seems in pain but I like things better when poops stay in the letterbox lol.nand I'd hate for the babies' to get worse and have a real problem.

Was considering Orijen, thoughts?

I would tend to think it's the new food. Healthy cats don't need much, if any, fiber. Even though it's only for snacking, I would look for a high animal protein, low carb food. The best dry foods I know of are Wysong Epigen 90, Young Again Zero Carb and Ziwipeak.

I was thinking it was the food for sure. Should I look for a comparable fibre content to the previous food? (4%). New food has almost 8% fibre. I don't think we get ziwipeak here but I'll have a look at the others if I can find them, thank you :)
