I saw this beautiful condo and loved it! My dad crunched numbers, and while it's slightly over my monthly budget- we are going to put an offer in!

It has a beautiful 20ft balcony-- can we say catio?! The condo is all updated with little work to do.

There's already an offer on the condo- but nothing is signed. I can only hope my offer is better. I can't wait to get out of this appt!

Good wishes is needed here!!

Oh that's disappointing. There is still a perfect home out there for you and your baby cats. I hope you find it very soon. :cross:

It's back on the market!!

To be fair, I'm going to check out a few more coops on Saturday before resubmitting the bid

Whoa. I wonder what happened with the previous bidder. My cynical part says they found something they didn't like and withdrew their bid. But hopefully their loss is your gain!

Is there a way to do a title search /  deed check to see if there's something funky about the property? Is it in the floodplain? How about any kind of covenants or restrictions or anything like that? Anything that would have given those people any kind of red flag?

I think the owner of the condo was asking for way too much and the appraisal didn't go through. Either that, or the buyer couldn't get a mortgage. I don't think it's legal to have it out in the open to why it didnt go through.. my agent couldn't tell me. It could also be something in the inspection too.

I saw another one in the same area that was bigger and cheaper and beautiful. I think regardless, this weekend I am going to put in a bid for one of the places.

I am going to look at several close to the beach before I make my decision. I am getting excited here!

I've seen these be the reason that mortgages didn't go through.  I think the bank/mortgage company has their own way of investigating these things, but good idea to see if there's a way that us ordinary folk can too.

If it's back on the market, from what I understand, your next offer should be a bit lower than it was previously.  At least that's what I saw on one of those home buying reality shows.  Not sure how the market is where you are though.
