Hello, it's been a while since I posted anything here but I have a question that I'm looking to hopefully get some advice on.

I have two cats who eat identical meals twice a day (dry food in the morning and wet food in the evening) but one of my cats just farts like crazy and I'm not sure why. She hasn't always been this way, I began to notice it a couple months back. Her poops seem pretty normal and she doesn't appear to be in distress or anything, but I'm not sure if I should be worried? I wanted to see if I could get some opinions about this before I decide to go ahead and make an appointment with our vet. Thanks for reading about my gassy cat. :')

Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated!

While I doubt at this point a vet will be able to advise anymore than what I can, if you are unable to get to the bottom of it, then a vet visit would likely be in order.

Basically it's his food.

Foods high in carbohydrates will cause this...
Any food high in grain is not good for cats...they need high protein diets. Chicken, fish ,beef, etc should be the 1st ingredient. Corn should never be in the list, not wheat as they are not complex carbohydrates.

The gassyness and farting is talking to you, quite literally, please change my diet, it is upsetting my tummy and hard for me to digest.

I agree with the above poster.  Carbohydrates are difficult for cats to digest because they are not designed to do so being obligate carnivores they need a lot of protein in their diet.  You didn't mention what is it you are feeding them?

Did this coincide with a food change? Whatever it is you're feeding is disagreeing. Sometimes you need to add probiotics to their food, but a better way is to feed  high quality, high protein wet food and avoid the situation altogether.
