new mom needs help!

So i recently rescued a very fluffy 6 month old female we named Nephy. we've had her for about 2 weeks and came home from the store yesterday to a dead kitten. shed givin birth right on my bed! She then gave birth to 2 more kittens, the second one dieing a few hours later. the third one (we've named him roxas) made it through the night. Nephy will only lay with him for a few minuets to maybe an hour at a time and some times we have to make her. she keeps leaving and laying in the next room. we've been using a small heating pad on low to keep him warm when mom isnt around and he seems to have trouble latching and sometimes trouble staying on. we've given her a bigger box and moved everthing to our livingroom where she moved him. Ive been getting up with them every hour on the hour trying to get roxas to eat even if its just a little. I'm not sure what else to do since nephy was starving when i found her. I'm affraid she isn't producing milk and i don't have money for kitten formula or bottles.

Hi and welcome to The Cat Site. I am sorry your first post here is a problem like this. I don't have any experience with cat pregnancies and kittens but somebody else will come along who can help you.

Thank you but help for this post is no longer needed. With a heavy heart I'm sorry to say that her last kitten has passed away.

I know that must be heartbreaking. My mama cat had her first litter this week and I have worried about every little thing. Keep giving your Nephy lost of love and get her healthy. The little gal has had a rough go of it lately. Treat her like a princess :lol3:

I am so sorry that the kittens passed away. It sounds very likely that there wasn't much you could do. Nephy was probably too young and malnourished to support healthy babies. Hopefully you can get her healthy and spayed so she doesn't ever have to go through this again. You are a kind soul to rescue her.
