Is anyone doing anything to celebrate?



It's a very windy, foggy, rainy day here and no celebrations. I know the place I used to work had a May Breakfast today.

Happy May Day to you, too. We are going to watch our annual viewing of The Wicker Man. I'm not a big fan of the movie, but there's a clip from the film that my husband likes a lot, and hey. Tradition.

I missed this. May Day is a holiday here, but people didn't have too much luck with the weather.

I missed it too, partly because I spent May day at a market, selling my handmade kitchen and home decor accessories. The weather was awful, though and I was lucky to be inside the hall, not outside. Here in France there is a lovely tradition on May Day, to give people lily of the valley for luck. Most times you get given a little spray of the flowers, but it can also be perfumed soap or scent.

I thought Spring would never get here with all this snow!!! Winter lasted forever this year,moisture for the fields and ground, but still. I know we needed the  no one is allowed to complain about the heat this summer.
