My 14 year old cat, Burt, developed a cough a few weeks ago. It would almost sound like a hair ball episode, but nothing would happen, and it sounded 'dryer'. The vet didn't seem too concerned, said to bring him back if it got worse. I found KC Defense on the internet, it said it was completely natural and would boost the immune system and provide respiratory protection. I got it and dosed him twice and his symptoms disappeared. Now I'm wondering about how safe it is for long term use. I've only used it twice so far. So far it has worked! has anyone else used it?

I'd never heard of it until I saw your post.

I think if you're wondering about it's safety, you should probably just check with your Vet and ask about each ingredient and whether or not they see anything in there that could be harmful to cats long term.

BTW, did they check Burt's heart?  Anytime I hear about an older cat having a dry cough, I immediately think "heart"
.    Just want to make sure you know coughing IS a sign of a heart condition.

I know it is a sign of heart problems, my husband has A-fib and when his heart acts up he coughs too! The vet just listened to his heart, and he said it sounds fine. He has no other symptoms. he still runs like the wind in the yard and even climbs trees once in a while. I will look it up on the internet and see if I can find out more. Thanks!
