I mean honestly, she's getting visibly larger every day. It's now been exactly 2 weeks since I first saw the kittens moving. No milk, no discharge, hasn't stopped eating.. Who knows.
Henryetta was like that too. The only thing was that I could literally feel the kittens heads (or bottoms) poking out of her sides the day of and the day before she had the kittens. Other than feeling them then, I never really saw much movement. She spent a lot of time in her litter box and there were some twinges down her back for a day or two before she had them. I had no idea she was going to have them until I walked out and saw the first one and then I left her alone to have them.

Lola's 3 gorgeous kittens are almost 48 hours old, and they are all doing fantastically, Lola has amazed us all as she was not a friendly cat and hated being so much as stroked, now she is happy to be preened all day long and caring for her babies like a pro!

Zoey is doing that too. Laying only on linoleum, won't even lay on the couch

Mischa did that too.maybe it help if they feel feverish from being due soon. She did it for 2 nights before giving birth but I think her babies were a few days early

 and for those still waiting
I know EXACTLY how you feel, it was hell waiting but when they do arrive, well it's just unreal!

ps Kota is the total double of my Lola!  For about a week before the birth she always lay on the cool tiles, for the last 2 days she stayed in one room, then moved to another room just before the kittens arrived.

Kota is super restless when she's trying to sleep. She moves from one spot to another. But when she's awake, she's running and playing. Her heat cycle was around March 11, so we're really guessing any day . She and Lola do look like the could be litter mates. Hope Kota's babies are as cute as Lola's.

Advice please from those with experience:  Lola's 3 survivors were all about 127g at birth, next evening they all about 135g and last night 145g, will weigh them again this evening...does this sound like good weight gain about 10g per day?  Thanking you.

Yes 10 is the normal so there right on track. My little calico girl passed away. She wasn't able to breath through her nose. But my orange baby Gilbert is nice n chubby. I'm keeping him since this is her last litter.

So so sorry about the little calico girl, its just heartbreaking.  What weight is the remaining little fighter now?

Iceybolt, I'm sorry to hear about the little calico girl. RIP.

As for me, this will probably be my last post in this forum for a while.  It turns out that my foster cat is not pregnant.

I took her to the vet today because she's been huge for 2 weeks with no kittens or signs of labor.  The vet did an ultrasound and found that the uterus, while very swollen, is empty.  It's either a false pregnancy of pyometra, a uterine infection.  We are getting her spayed tomorrow.

Thank goodness I took her in.  Pyometra is a life threatening condition and the longer we waited, the more danger she was in.  I guess the moral of this story is, look for other signs of pregnancy besides swollen belly.  Or if you can afford it, get an ultrasound.
