Henryetta had her kittens! I am cautiously optimistic.   I went out there last night about 7:30 and saw her under the chair and lying on the fleece blanket. I heard a mew and saw, from a distance, a kitten that appeared to be a tortie like her. Not wishing to upset her, I turned off the light, leaving a small nightlight on, went out and locked the door. Of course I couldn't sleep last night, worrying because the temperature was going to be in the high 30's (Fahrenheit)  so I finally got up at 3:45 this morning, got her favorite wet food and went out to the storage room.  She came out, looking a little rough needless to say,  when she heard me and began to eat hungrily when I put down the plate. I took the opportunity to look under the chair. At first I couldn't see much but then I saw a tiny yellow (like the father) kitten climbing over a pile at the very back. I don't know how many she had but I think it must be three or four but I only heard the occasional mew. After Henryetta ate her food, licking the plate clean, she went back under the chair. I turned out the light, locked the door and went back in the house. Since she is semi-feral and only been indoors for a month today, I don't want to push my luck with her trust and endanger the kitten, but I am still worried about their health and hope that she will move them to a more convenient (for me) location in the next few days. I am not about to try and touch them. I will put a picture on here when I can.

Here's what I do know:  She didn't really exhibit a lot of symptoms before she gave birth. I was out there with her between 5:00-5:30 last night and the first kitten came between 5:30-7:30.  The things I noticed over the past couple of days were that she spent a lot of time digging in a couple of the birthing areas but did not have the kittens in those areas and scratching in her litter box and trying to tinkle in tiny amounts.  She had a little diarrhea the past day or two, also.  She may have been having mild contractions the past couple of days and that is why she kept going to her litter box.  The other things I noticed were twinges down the center of her back that rippled her spine and that for the past week and sometimes she would just stop and stand for a minute but I didn't see her sides contracting. She also didn't want me to touch her sides or lower back for the past week or so.  Yesterday, though, I was able to do this and I really felt the kittens pushing out although they did not move. She was still eating and drinking, though not as much, the past few days.

Good luck with the impending births and be sure to let us all know when the kittens arrive. I'm really grateful to have found this site It's been so very helpful!

Hi everyone, just come across this whilst searching for info on pregnant cats - so glad I did! My cat is pregnant and must be due anytime now -she went missing and came back big two weeks ago. She's a very petite cat (small and skinny, always has been)  but now she's getting stuck between the banister railings bless her! She is not usually one to endure being touched and prefers being left alone but at the moment shes my best friend! I really am expecting her to go into labour any day now and she has had colostrum for 4 days. Im very excited but nervous! Would love to be able to share the experience with others going through the same thing :)

She ripping paper up, still eating a fair amount, washing herself all the time, just normal really but a bit slower with the weight of her belly

Hi!  Welcome!  Lola due any day now, not noticed any colostrum on her, but she keeps getting her bump stuck when she weaves in and out of the blinds

First (and last!) litter, spaying ASAP after, no idea how many kittens but I am guessing 3 or 4, she too is trying to pay more attention to her lady bits but with her rugby ball belly she is struggling

Funnily enough it was last weekend when she seemed REALLY tired, not been too bad this week I think she is too uncomfortable, noticed a couple of twitches at weekend but nothing since...babies still hurtling around in there
