Our cat was pregnant and had two healthy kittens yesterday between 8 and half past. But I was wondering if her labour was interrupted? We have dogs and the cat is not so keen on them since being pregnant' she was in her nest box and escaped from our bedroom and our dog chased the cat then the next thing I know their was a kitten on the floor then after taking her to her nest box she soon had the other.but their are two kittens thought she was expecting more? She is fine now, acting normal as she was before having kittens, eating, nursing and caring for the other kittens but I'm not convinced she has finished.still looks a but round in the tummy, I felt her tummy its soft but to be honest I don't know what I'm looking for, she is very very affectionate, purring and wanting fuss. She has not been to the loo since before giving birth.
Any advice and comments would be greatly appreciated.

The stress of the dog could have definitely interrupted her labor. As long as she seems fine, is not panting or seems like she is in pain, she will be fine. Maybe two kittens is all she is having. Please have all she needs nearby, litterbox (not too close!) water and food. And please keep the dog away! Your dogs should not be chasing a family cat, it is up to YOU to train them that it will not be tolerated, you are alpha! Please keep in mind that a new mama cat is ferocious and WILL attack the dogs. So for their sakes keep them away. Good luck and keep us posted!

Our dogs get on very well with our cat and they love being with her, they wanted to play with her, they are very well behaved but being in the last stages of preancy made her very vaulnrable, like I said she has been put in our room to be kept away from the others, she escaped to go downstairs on her cat post.she is very well catered for and litter box, food etc is all provided.

I agree with Di and Bob, as long as she is fine no troubles, you can look and see. Be observant but dont worry.

Good luck!
