I would have bought the snowsuit.  If that good of a deal could always sell it with tags still on down the road.

That is sad they told you and you did not want to know.  NO WAY am I finding out.  I need that surprise at end.

Are you going to find out in 4 weeks, is that what you meant? l didn't want to know. l went for an ultrasound with the first one and the tech told me she knew what "it" was. My hubby was there and neither of us wanted to know so we made a non-committal sound. And she said, "Yep, think pink". Ugh!! l could have smacked her

l was the opposite to you - l was horribly sick with my daughter, then felt much better with both boys. But there was a huge difference between genders so l think you're having a boy. We should start a pool
Yep, I find out in 4 weeks if it's a boy or a girl. My ultrasound is May 30th. I have to know what the baby is, I am very impatient and there's no way I could wait. It's hard enough waiting this long to find out. I have 4-5 totes full of baby girl clothes to get rid of if it's a boy.

I would have been so mad if they told me and I didn't want to know. I was so upset with the way I was told Aimee was a girl. We were supposed to be having an ultrasound dating scan because we thought I was somewhere between 10-12 weeks. It turned out I was 23 weeks 6 days and it was a huge surprise. The tech asked if we wanted to know what the baby was and I said yes. I was in the room alone since they make you go in alone at first and then the dad can come in at the end to see the baby on the screen. I figured she would wait until my husband was in the room so we could hear the news together, but she blurted out "it's a girl." It still bugs me because I thought she was just asking if we wanted to know, not if I wanted to know right that second.

Well, sitting down and not moving is better than throwing a temper tantrum.

My friend's girl would jump up and down, and do that half crying, half theatrical event phase, whenever her mom said it was time to go to bed.  My friend would take 30 min to 1 hour in getting her to sleep.  But I was told kids love lullabies, but my friend said she had a bad voice.

(Its true we'd sing the "itsy bitsy spider song"...since I did not know any songs either, and her daughter just loved it.)

Slapping an ultrasound tech would have been bad, @Andrya..
..lol.

I'm  "IN" on the "pool"....lol.  But how would it work?   Are we just going to guess....boy or girl....before 4 weeks from now?   Can we ask more questions..
..sounds fun.

Hey @catlover19, I think your hubby was right about the snowsuit, unless you could return it, like Tammat, with the tags on.  I think they only give you 90 days, though, and not on clearance stuff.
Aimee is generally a happy child so her tantrums don't happen too often, but they do happen sometimes. She gets really mad at me when I make her come inside, she wants to be outside playing 24/7. It's worse lately because she has molars and eye teeth coming through all at the same time.

You can ask more questions if you want. Based on the old wives tales, it's pointing toward boy. Holding my wedding ring on a string over my belly says boy, cravings say boy, the Chinese gender chart says girl (it also said Aimee was a boy), baking soda test says boy, my intuition says boy. Everyone is guessing boy except for 2 people so far.

It was $3. I had a dream that night that I needed to go back and buy it but he still said no. I think most of the reason is because Aimee had like 3 snowsuits and never wore any of them.

Aimee is 19 months too. She will be 20 months on Sunday. She will have just turned 2 when the baby is born, assuming this one comes on time. Aimee was born at 29 weeks.
How does the age work being She was so early. Pardon my ignorance and if you don't mind my asking. Is she going to be 20 months from her actual birthday or from her due date?

She will be 20 months from her actual birthday and on the 15th of the month she will be 18 months corrected age. Corrected (or adjusted) is the age from her due date. She is pretty well on track for 20 months (aside from being small) so I don't even consider her corrected age anymore. I was due November 15, she was born September 4. This time, I am due October 18, so I hope the earliest baby is born is the end of September.

Everything is different about this pregnancy. With Aimee, I didn't even know I was pregnant until I was almost 6 months. This time, I found out at 1 month. I had no sickness or anything with Aimee, this time I have been nauseous every day. I haven't been sick, but I feel sick. With Aimee, I wanted peaches and ice cream all the time. This time, I want kettle cooked potato chips.

Bending over is getting harder because of where the baby is and I get out of breath really easily. If I drop something, I usually say "Aimee, can you pick that up for mommy?" and she gets it for me.
I remember my used to get the expectant older sisters and brother to play a game based on a story book they all used to have about pulling an enormous turnip out of the ground. When my SiL needed to get up out of a chair late on in her pregnancies she'd get the kids to 'Pull!  Pull!  Pull the enormous turnip' and however many kids were there would be pulling on her hands to help her up.  It was sweet.

Can't believe the tech's don't make really sure before announcing something like that!  For the pole, nice idea!  @catlover19, if you wanted to I'm sure you could have a thread with a pole on whether you're having a girl or a boy.
No prizes of course,  just for fun!

It is so great that Aimee is doing this well, and there should be a lovely age gap between your kids.  I am constantly thinking good things for you in this pregancy and hope everything runs smoothly to full term (end of September at least) !

My 'younger' brother (he's older than me but I have an even older one!) is 21 months older than me.  We were always very close.  His kids also have a similar age gap between them and they  are all very close.  They were always super excited when they finally met their little brother or sister, and loved being part of everything going on once the new baby was at home.  The older siblings adored having little brothers and sisters and couldn't wait until they could all play together.  I think what was really important was that they felt involved and loved and very much a special part of the baby coming along - and showing baby what to do (like giving tastes of chocolate or ice cream when mom wasn't looking)!  This picture of Aimee totally reminds me of my oldest neice when her mom was expecting her younger sister and brother.  By the time her brother was due she was almost 4 and had seen her mom feeding her little sister so rather than using the bottle to feed her doll like she had when she was Aimee's age she'd pull up her top and pretend feed her doll like she had seen her mom and mom's friends feed their babies.  Kids can be so cute how they watch and learn from everything, it is amazing.

She is lovely. When she has a sit down strike just ignore her. Any tantrum should be ignored.
I vomited 9 months with both of them.
I had no.2 during a war so hubby was away. My son who was 2.9 years used to help me dress in the mornings.
With mark I craved beans. Baked beans. Bean soup anything with beans and I'd bring them all up nearly choking myself. With joanna it was mangoes which were
not in season and Indian food with both of them the spicier the better.
Nowadays if I crouch down I can't get up. If I'm in a shop or out I have to ask for help. Sigh.

Oh, those teeth coming in, no wonder she is grumpy at times.  Who wouldn't be?

Aimee sounds like me when I was small, always wanted to be outside....Now...not so much.
...lol

You basically answered all my questions....so I will describe "psychic" for pregnant ladies now, or "mom's intuition".

I am going to guess later, so I can think more.

Wow, Aimee was absolutely miserable tonight. She stayed with my in laws from yesterday at 6pm until today. We went over at 4pm and stayed for dinner. My MIL said that Aimee was really happy all day, but she was very grumpy tonight. We put her to bed around 6:55 pm and she went right to sleep. We had a scheduled power outage this morning and apparently she woke up when the power went out. My happy girl was not so happy tonight.

Good news though, last night and during the day today the baby was moving around like crazy. We went to a buck and doe last night and I think the baby liked the music or something because he/she would not stop wiggling around all evening.
For anyone wondering, a buck and doe is basically a fundraiser to help a bride and groom pay for their upcoming wedding. There's games, prizes and lot's of drinking. I was one of the only sober people there.

Thank you very much Andrya. We've been waiting impatiently since the end of April. My poor DiL. It's so hot and she was so heavy and swollen working to the end standing most of the time. It wasn't an easy birth but it's all over now.
Yay at last another girl. That makes it 2 girls and 5 boys.

Yes, she is. She had a c-section with her first too. She has big babies, they say this one will probably be 10+ pounds.

All these TCS babies!  It's quite an eventful year for TCS I think - all very exciting.

Stewball, a little grand daughter, and for Mrs.B hope all goes well for your husband's cousin tomorrow.  Great that there will be more young babies in your family this year, and if this family stay close then Aimee can get some real life practice baby cuddles in before her little brother or sister arrives too!

Our kids in the family are all really close in age. The oldest will be 3 in a month (same mom who is having baby #2 tomorrow), Aimee is 20 months, another one is almost 19 months and our new baby is due in October. They are all going to be so close and they all love each other when we get together.
