I recently adopted what I now realize is a feral kitten. I joined this site to get information on socializing her.

The information has been incredibly helpful. She has gone from what I believed would be a TNR kitten to a part of our family.

Her name is Golda.

She is about 8 weeks today, at least from her weight. She weight 1lb 15 oz today.

I had a cat when I was younger, but my husband is allergic. I read that if we got a kitten he might develop immunity to her. I also read light skinned cats and females produce less of the protein that causes allergies. So far so good.

Socializing her has been a lot of work, but definitely rewarding.

Aw, she's precious.  Welcome to TCS!  A feral stray had kittens in an old truck at my mom's house.  One my mom's friends from church trapped and adopted the mother cat, Q-Tip, and her kittens.  They are now all socialized house cats and very petted to the woman's husband in particular.

I hope your husband's allergies continue to stay away.
