I don't use Facebook much, although I check it everyday. I use it primarily to follow news about businesses and organizations I'm interested in. Last year I pruned my friend list that I accumulated when I was young and impressionable; I removed over 90% of my "friends" from the list, keeping actual friends on the list. I never used any of the apps, and it annoyed me when people would spam my feed with how many cows they collected or what their new tetris high score is. I unfollowed those friends, and eventually removed them.

Recently though, my sister introduced a game called Criminal Case, and I am now addicted to it. It's a "find the hidden object" game -- you get a case, you find objects and earn scores and stars and medals, then you talk to suspects and solve puzzles. Very little thinking, most of the time you'd be hunting for objects in a static picture. The artwork is very well done, and the characters are not one-dimensionally boring. Apparently it was the most successful FB game last year.

Great way to kill time.

I only play Gardens of Time in Facebook.
It's a find the hidden object game and one gets to design a "garden".

I am trying to avoid getting hooked into that game! Those are the kind of games I like and I already spend too much time on the computer. :lol3:

So I tried it. I got so aggravated having to wait to get more stars, energy, etc. that I have now deleted.

It's supposed to be a play-during-lunch-break-or-while-waiting-for-the-bus kind of game.

I started a new one last night- Gravely Silent by Big Fish. The app is free, but normally you can only go so far before they make you to buy the app. This one is either different, or it has a glitch. When I got to the point where they cut you off, instead of entering my Apple id, I hit cancel, and it let me continue. The authorization screen keeps popping up each time I have to go through a certain area, but I keep hitting cancel and keep on playing. Yay! I love the puzzles and hidden objects. The story lines are cheesy, but the graphics are good. The last hidden object screen I did last night before bed was so hard, it took me close to half an hour to finish!

I do not even have a FB account (nor Twitter).  But I used to play the little freebie Yahoo games.

I lean toward word games and puzzle games.  For pure mindlessness, I'll go to a "Bejeweled" type of game.

I only have 2 games on my phone: Dragonvale & Words With Friends.

Going a bit off topic here:

Generally speaking, I prefer computer/PC games over console or phone games.

I'm an old Diablo player... yes, that means that the CDs from the first Diablo are kicking around our computer room.  Have no idea if they will actually run.

Played D2 obsessively for several years (single player because of bots).  Had so many mules, I had spreadsheets for them, lol.

@Fhi09, I've taken notice of your avatar.  Just recently started that up again with RoS (wasn't impressed with beta/open release).  Only *just* made it through on normal level.  Do you still play?

City of Heroes was my first true MMO (yes, I avoided Evercrack & WoWzer).  Hope springs eternal for a successor (am watching for Titans).

Also have Neverwinter & SWTOR installed, but haven't played them much.

So, there ya go.

I've outted myself as a bit of a gamer geek (mild compared to some, though.  lol)

*gasp* You're my new best friend now!

Yep, in fact, I'm an achievement seeker. Right now trying to get the "Kill X in under Y seconds" achievement. I managed all but the last 2 needed. *sob*

And SWTOR. I am writing my own roleplay fanfic while playing that. Makes it more bearable (the gameplay mechanics ... leaves a lot to be desired).

Never touched Everquest.

WoWzer... retired.

GW2, great idea, but in the end it wasn't really for me. Such a shame, I really wanted to like it. If I had friends playing, it'd probably be much much better.
