Hi I'm quiet new to this site, I opened my acount at the end of last year but I've just started using it as I didn't have internet before. Anyway i thought I just come and say hi !!
I've got two pure black boys who are almost one and they are such a joy. They are coming out of their shell after coming into a home for the very first time.
Would lve to hear from other cat lovers especially those who have rescued their furr babies

Hi louise 1987,

I'm pretty new to the site also and it's brill. I have rescued 3 cats, Monty was the first and he was 4 years old he was a black tabby. We had him for 9 years. Sasha was the second and she was a kitten and she is a tabby and white longhair and she is 31/2 and Amber who was about 4 months old and she is all black semi longhair and she is 1 1/2.

Your boys sound beautiful, I would love to see some photos as would everybody i'm sure.

Welcome to the site! We value what you can bring to the site on how to make a new kitty feel comfortable, don't be shy about jumping in! I know what you mean about not having the internet, I have to use the one at work(in between my students) and at the library. The only bad thing about getting it at home, is that I would probably spend WAY too much time on it. I guess you could say I rescue 'throwaways' I get at least one a month at my house and it's amazing how these scared starving babies turn into beautiful, confident cats. I have found a lot of homes around here for them, they must sense that I will help them. Please keep us posted on your two, and once again, WELCOME!

Hi kitty whiskers and di and bob thanks so much for your messages. Kitty whiskers your cats sound so lovely, I'm quiet new to owning cats because growing up my parents had dogs and rabbits never a cat as my dad is scared of them, no idea why. I've always loved cats though reading as many books as possible about cats and befriending cats I came across were ever I went. I have volunteered in rescue centres for cats and I agree that's it's so lovely to see them grow in confidence, more so I guess in your own home as some cats never get 100% in a cattery.
I need to find away to get dash out of his hidy hole under my stairs, I didn't know the hole was their but it goes right under my house, he's coming up to feed so he's not trapped but think he will come out quickly now his brother is back in their safe room. They are getting really confident in my front room but unfortunately I let them explore before they were ready and found the hole. I guess it will take a while to get used to been In a house

Thanks they really are a joy to have around when they are not in the hole. I hope I have some luck in getting dash reunited with his brother as I don't really want to use a live trap as I know he will eventually come up when he wants feeding. Not sure how I'm going to fill the hole but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it
