Heated Cat Bed for Outside Use?

Has anyone tried using a heated cat bed outside? I know most of the heated beds are meant to be used inside, but there's one on Cat-Tail.com that they say can be used outside. I would love to get one for Snowball, what with the sudden temperature drop here (just this Monday it was still very hot!). It costs $55 so I want to double check to see if people have found it to be effective. If nothing else I think I'll get her one of those space age matts, the one's that reflect body heat back.

I have one of John's (Cat-Tails) bed on our porch. The one feral in the winter time Cleo spends the majority of his time on it. The porch is not fully protected, the bed has gotten wet on occasion and has held up well.

Is there a link for that ??? I may want to ge me one or two for my outsite cats .
