She was puking up white foam late thurs night. I noticed she wasn't feeling any better so I took her to the vet fri morning. They ran blood tests, her cell count was normal. Her liver and kidney values were normal. The only thing was her glucose was high, they said it could easily be raised by stress from being sick. They sent me home w fluids to give her. So she's staying hydrated but she won't eat at all. And she was looking weaker by last night so I've been force feeding her w tuna water , chicken broth, baby food mix together 6100ml twice throughout last night. And then I gave her some senior cats milk 200 ml today. I put some butter and coconut oil on her feet. She cleaned herself a bit last night. But she was looking weak this morning. She went to the bathroom at 4 am . She hasn't visited the water bowl today

I bet she's constipated so I gotta give her some pumpkin tonight . She's lookin ok right now .

Kirsten our old neighbor works at csu rescue and she said they would be doing the same thing to her if I were to hospitalize her

I read if cats go more than a couple days w out food it's very bad for them, so I have to make sure she gets something in her tummy. The way she walks when she's up is better this evening so she had to be gaining some energy I hope. She uses a lot of strength tryin to fight me when I feed her.

If she's not using the litter box, you need to take her back to the vet asap. She should have passed at least some urine by now. Was the 4 am bathroom for a bowel movement or to pass urine? Both of these are serious issues and need to be addressed by a vet.

I don't have liks at the hand right now, but if you make web search, you will be able to find "cat is not eating", "force feeding" tips. Basically, if vet sees nothing wrong (although foaming sounds really bad), giving slightly diluted wet food by syringe in cheek pocket is a standard procedure, sufficient amount total. Watch for inhaling food, this is why in the cheek pocket.

For some cats adding FortiFlora (probiotic from veterinarian, no need to bring a cat) to wet food helps.

Tania's Comprehensive Guide to Feline Chronic Kidney Disease (enticing to eat part) website helped me when my new then cat stopped eating and vet saw nothing wrong (no foaming though). Warm wet food from finger, offering variety of brands, pate only, giving first pieces from pinkie finger to start eating, feeding from plate on raised support, going after cat from room to room and offering to feed in different places, flat plate (no raised walls bowl), feeding in dark place (chair or bed covered with throw). Even dry food is better than nothing.

Later we started to give cat immune support drops, LifeGold from PetWellbeing (herbal), then all improved.

But again, there were no epilepsy, no poisoning, no ingested threads, no intestine blockage, just a sensitive can in a new home.

Hope your cat gets better soon!
