Your kitties are absolutley beautiful!!!

It's so sweet that you introduced them to the outdoor world with you! My cats are indoor/outdoor but, honestly were you nervous? I would be, you know how cats can be....run, run, run! Then of course, they hide! I'd be pulling my hair out!

Thanks for the replys. We had them on harness's and leads the whole time except for when they were in the trailer or the car. It was a lot of fun. We also had a large cage for them to go in and they loved it.If we went anywhere we put them in the cage in the trailer and they would sleep. They even drank from a water bottle when in the cage. The kind you give to a rabbit or a guinea pig. They just loved to chase the bugs and Rocky almost caught a chipmunk as he was being a little too saucy and getting a little too close. He didnt try it again though. This was their first adventure in the great outdoors.

Elinor, your pictures are terrific, the kitties look like they were having the time of their lives!

I've recently put a harness on Lily, and she's worn it around the house for 3 or 4 days now..she doesn't seem to even notice it's there anymore. We've slowly been using a leash too, that isn't going as well though. When I put the leash on her, she goes to the nearest corner or wall and plops down, looking scared

I'd like to get her used to it, so we can take her on our next camping trip, but she doesn't seem to cooperative.

Any suggestions?

Cleo

Hi Elinor, Looks like your kitties had a great time. I am going to be moving across the country (at least 2000 miles) eventually and am thinking of moving with a pop up camper and camping along the way (with my 3 kitties of course). How large was the cage you used for your 2 cats? I would imagine cats probably enjoy staying in "their own" trailer or pop up camper versus being a different hotel room every night. I would be interested in any advise you or anyone else might have.
Thanks, Cyndy
