Need Help With a Cat Who Won't Eat

Help, someone, anyone. Two months ago I adopted a sweet (some what small) little black kitten. She had an infection and stopped eating for a while. She's seven months old and 4 pounds... she is very scared all the time and doesn't come out off hiding to eat. I have to put the food in front of her. Any Idea on getting her to gain weight or be less terrified?

Your cat needs to see a vet ASAP. Not to alarm you, but cats just cannot go for days without eating the way dogs can, she needs to be assist-fed if she's too sick to eat on her own. She needs to be assessed quickly by the sound of things, she's very small for her age. What was done for her infection, and what kind of infection did she have?
