Both my boys will officially hit 1 year this June.
I really can't believe how fast time has just flew by!

I have noticed though that one of my kittens (Mumsy my medium hair cutie) has been not as inclined to eat his whole meal/s all the time. Both kittens eat a wet diet consisting of 50/50 of wet and raw foods. I started the raw foods about a month ago and all seemed to be fine up until recently. Easter weekend I boarded my kittens for the weekend as I went to visit family out of town. During their stay at the kennel they were only fed the wet foods as my vet is not too thrilled I feed a raw diet to begin with.
When the boys returned home all seemed normal but Mumsy just seems to be wanting to eat less food.  He has always been a slow eater, with Simon gulping down his meal and pushing Mumsy out of his dish to eat Mumsy's meal too. I started to feed Mumsy on the table and Simon on the floor to give Mumsy a chance to eat before Simon stole his meals. This worked out a little better.

Just to clarify, I have both boys eating around 230 cals a day give or take a few more for some evening treats. They both seem to eat their entire morning meal at 9am without an issue. I usually offer the dinner meal at around 4pm and Simon will eat anything in site, but Mumsy will need a little coaxing before he will eat some or most of his meal. I do get him to eat most if not all of it, but he used to eat his dinner without any convincing from me at all. They also get an 11pm feeding right before bed time. Both cats usually eat that without any issues as well.

I am wondering if maybe Mumsy is just not as hungry anymore since he is getting bigger. But since he is still technically a kitten I don't know how important it is for him to still need so many cals in a day. I can't unfortunatly let them free feed because Simon is a piggy so that is just not an option. I just don't know if this is normal or not and if I should worry at all.

They both seem to be acting as normal as ever, still playing up a storm using the litter box with no issue, nothing out of the ordinary, just Mumsy and his lack of interest in his 4pm meals.
Should I be concerned? Or is this normal? I have not had a kitten in a long time so I can't remember if this type of thing occurs.

I think it's a matter of them growing up (how fast!) and the bioavailability of the raw food (more efficiently utilized so they don't need as much).
As long as they are acting normal and peeing/pooping normally, I wouldn't worry.
If their weight is normal (love that word...) and either one starts to lose weight, then maybe start worrying a little.

I hope everything is "normal"
It could be the raw that is doing it. Just wish it had that effect on Simon my little hoover.
What Mumsy won't eat Simon is right there to eat it up.

Since they were young kittens they were being fed 8.25oz of canned before the raw came in. once I started the raw (about 8 weeks ago or so) I started to feed them 4.5oz of canned a day each and 2oz each a day of raw. Totaling 6.5oz daily and around 225-230calories a day, plus a snack for more calories.

On all canned they were eating around 250 calories a day. Mumsy seems to want to want to eat less of his 4pm meal. Without coaxing, he may eat a half the meal and then his intake would only be around 5.5-6oz a day plus a snack.

I know that he is getting older, and spring has sprung here so maybe that is why he wants to eat less. He is 9lbs and looks fantastic. Just wanted to make sure he is getting enough for his age since he is not yet 1 year.
