Hi guys -

I am interested in developing an automatic wet food feeder for my kitty.  She is fed twice a day with wet food 6 am and 5 pm.  Locally only dog boarders are available, no cat boarding.  This can become costly for 2/visits a day from sitters and it can be a huge burden for friends and family to arrive at the correct times of day if we go out of town for the weekend.  I know they don't make it on time because she wolfs down on the dry food that's left out for her to nibble on then throws it up.  At least with the feeder I know she won't be worried about her next meal and friends and family can arrive at their leisure for play or cuddle time.

The cost of developing a new product like this is enormous!  I can't fully disclose how the feeder will work, but these are the features that I have in mind:

+ intended 100% for wet food.  No spoilage or drying out.

+ smaller footprint than the round feeders.

+ feeding dish NOT made of plastic.

+ programmable feeding times.

If you might be interested in using a feeder like this, please take my survey  to let me know what you think. If there's enough interest I can be confident that I'll be able to recoup the expense of developing it and move forward .

Thank you!

This sounds like an interesting idea, especially if the feeder were virtually impossible for the cat to open himself.

Done!
I would love a reliable feeder for wet food for when we go away.

Okay - you got my attention - I competed the survey.

FYI - I've found that leaving wet (canned) food out for overnight - sometimes 10-12 hours seems to be agreeable to all my cats - we have 12 inside cats, and 6-7 + outside feral born - maybe some others come for a visit, too - they're evening meal is various canned food and the occasional raw chicken breasts in water.

The outside cats eat the food even when it dries out - we live in the desert - some of them even prefer the food that has turned crisp - yes they also have kibble to eat whenever they want (trying to keep them from hunting birds) ...  So - just thought I'd add that information about the amount of time I leave food out without any health problems.

I feed AM usually before 10 a.m. , then again at 6 or 7 pm - I don't remove the AM food until the PM feeding, and I don't remove the PM food until the AM feeding.  Hope I'm not too confusing. :)

I'd like to be able to use such a feeder for Oliver's raw food. School has had me out of the house for long periods, so he's had to wait 12 hours between meals some days since lazy ex-bf/roommate can't be bothered to feed him anymore when I'm not here. Those days have just ended, but soon work will have me out of the house 10 hours a day.
