My new cat is assumed to be about three years old. He loves to lick anything fleece and will especially cuddle into and lick at a corner of his fuzzy bed or a stuffed animal while kneading and purring like crazy. It's cute that he's so content. I'm just wondering, does this likely mean he was abandoned as a kitten?

It's possible; but I don't think that's necessarily the case.  My Mom's cat Olivia does this.  She originally was my step-aunt's cat but she had to give her up because of restrictions at her apartment.  Olivia came from someone my Aunt knew.  Another one of my aunt's had one of her siblings.

Ok, I was just curious. Whatever sadness he went through as a kitten won't happen again :) thanks!

That is so precious! I have one who sucks his tail. He was taken from his mom at 4 weeks. If only they could speak!
