My cat keeps trying to get out my screen door! I have tried the barrier stuff and she goes right through it. She doesn't care how stinky it is! She has figured out how to unlock the screen door and opens it. I bought a baby gate to try to stop her. Well, that isn't working either...Help me! It gets warm in my apartment so I need to have the glass door open for air flow...any ideas????

I'm not sure if this will work since you are in an apartment; but we installed a hook and eye closure on our back screen door.  It doesn't swing open like a storm door; it's on a track that slides back and forth.  The wind used to blow it back and forth on the track so a simple latch like that stopped that.  The down side is that you cant open it from the outside.

Mine is a sliding screen door like yours. Not sure if I can install a hook and eye being that I am in an apartment though....

How does your lock work?  I have used a baby gate that is tension mounted; but you can squeeze the handle to remove it.  I installed it on top of another one when my 2 were kittens to keep them in the hallway.  Can you use the gate like that to block the lock?

My brother's cat did the same thing and he looped a rubber band around the handle and some screws in the doorjam to keep it shut. It worked perfectly. You could also tie it shut, looping string around the handle and then around some hook or screw. If you don't want to put holes in your wall or doorway, you can get something like those Command hooks that come off with no damage.

You may try to add different type of closure, cat-proof. If it's a sliding door, I have seen in hardware store very small thing, |-| with wing bolt (sliding window security), it goes on sliding part and prevents door from sliding.

You could cover the screen door with something tougher, for example chicken wire.

Next to the screen door is the track that it slides in.  If you measure a piece of wood, like a dowel or a broom handle that you cut down, and place it snugly in the track so that is just fits, the screen won't be able to slide open.

Or is the problem more that the cat is at risk to push through the screen?
