Fleas! Help

I just went to check on momma and the babies and to get some pictures... I noticed a flea on one of the kittens! I have needed to get flea meds for momma but what should I do? What can I do? I plan to call the vet in the morning but was hoping someone could tell me what I can expect.

They were just born yesterday unexpectedly. We had no clue she was pregnant.

Basically, you need to bring mom to the vet and get her treated for fleas.  At just one day old, there is very little you can do for the kittens at this time, though perhaps the vet will have different advice o solutions and in that case listen to him or her. But the most important thing is to treat mom (and any other animals in the house that might have fleas).  You can also manually and as gently as possible remove the fleas from the kittens but even that I am not sure I would do to a one day old.

It really is important mom get treated ASAP.  Fleas can be very bad indeed for kittens.
